Hawai'i Methamphetamine Town Hall Meeting

DATE: Wednesday, December 8, 1999

TIME: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon

PLACE: State Capitol, Auditorium

 

The town hall meeting is being hosted by Senator Suzanne Chun Oakland and Representative Alex Santiago and will feature a panel presentation by leading methamphetamine researchers and national and local government officials.

The meeting format offers an opportunity for Hawai'i’s substance abuse treatment, education, business and civic and policy leaders to provide public testimony and offer policy recommendations on ways to help solve the state’s growing methamphetamine addiction problems. Testimony will help national and local policy makers to formulate better strategies to improve service delivery systems and set substance abuse treatment priorities.
