The following bills have been added to the existing agenda, and will be
heard after 10:45 a.m.:


H.B. 2024   MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE LEGISLATIVE AGENCIES  WAM
HD1 SD1
(PROPOSED)   Combines the contents from S.B. 2499, retroactive pay
            adjustments for legislative agencies; S.B. 2834, legislative
            internal computer network; and S.B. 1242, funding for the
            auditor and Council of State Governments dues.  (Proposed
            SD1)

H.B. 1632   RELATING TO AGRICULTURE                        ECD, WAM
HD3 SD1
(PROPOSED)   Appropriate funding to aid sugar cane operation on Kauai to
            encourage continuation of sugar production on the island.
            (Proposed SD1)

H.B. 2151   RELATING TO STATE BONDS                             WAM
HD1
            Authorizes issuance of general obligation bonds.  Exempts
            State bonds from the requirement of perfecting security
            interests in government collateral.

H.B. 2194   RELATING TO PUBLIC ACCESS                           WAM
HD2 SD1

 


 
(PROPOSED)   Combines the contents from S.B. 2353, office of information
            practices; and S.B. 2354, broadcast in streaming media
            format over the internet, full-time position in public
            access room, childcare program, sale and distribution of HRS
            to Legislature.  (Proposed SD1)

H.B. 2434   RELATING TO STATE FINANCES                          WAM
HD1 SD1
(PROPOSED)   Transfers unspecified sums from the excess retained earnings
            of various special and revolving funds to the general fund.
            (Proposed SD1)

H.B. 2835   RELATING TO WATERSHED PROTECTION               WLH, WAM
HD2 SD2
(PROPOSED)   Establishes a watershed protection trust fund to fund public
            and private watershed management projects benefiting water
            quality, water quantity, and general watershed values within
            designated watershed areas.  Establishes a review board to
            identify watershed management areas.  Assesses the county
            water agencies and private water systems a fee based on the
            consumption of water for domestic purposes at a rate of not
            more than $1 per month for each serviced customer.

H.B. 2760   RELATING TO THE COLLEGE SAVINGS PROGRAM        EDU, WAM
HD2 SD1
            Defines "eligible educational institution" in college
            savings program in taxation code; allows the Director of
            Finance to enter into tuition agreements with account
            owners; allows distributions from account after a minimum
            length of time as determined by the Director of Finance;
            clarifies withdrawals.
