S.B. 2895  RELATING TO WORKERS' COMPENSATION             LRE, WAM
        Requires Special Compensation Fund contributions only
        when the thirty-two week requirement for a pre-
        existing disability is met.

S.B. 2861  RELATING TO WORKERS' COMPENSATION             LRE, WAM
        Provides alternatives to injured employees who are
        trying to restore their earning capabilities, and to
        set parameters for the utilization of rehabilitation
        services.

S.B. 2414  RELATING TO CONTRACTORS                       LRE, CPN
        Prohibits the restoration of a forfeited contractor's
        license when the contractor fails, refuses to acquire,
        or reinstates an expired cancelled workers'
        compensation insurance.

S.B. 2245  RELATING TO MEDICAL FEE SCHEDULES             LRE, WAM
        Changes current medical fee schedule for workers'
        compensation reimbursement from one-hundred ten per
        cent of Medicare to the annually adjusted federal
        workers' compensation medical fee schedule for use in
        Hawaii.

S.B. 2905  RELATING TO EMPLOYMENT SECURITY               LRE, WAM
        Extends the sunset date of the employment and training
        fund program through December 31, 2005.

S.B. 2897  RELATING TO SAFETY INSPECTION                 LRE, WAM

 
        FREQUENCIES FOR REGULATED EQUIPMENT
        Allows the department to set inspection frequencies
        based on public safety need for boilers, elevators,
        and other regulated equipment.

        DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW, IF TIME PERMITS.

Persons wishing to testify should submit 30 copies (single sided,
stapled, without holes) of their testimony to the committee
clerk, Room 217, State Capitol, 24 hours prior to the hearing.
Testimony may also be faxed if less than 5 pages in length, to
the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at 586-6659 or 1-800-586-6659
(toll free for neighbor islands), at least 24 hours prior to the
hearing.  When faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is
being submitted, the date and time of the hearing, and the
required number of copies needed for submittal.

If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids or services
to participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language
interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for
the disabled), please contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior
to the hearing so arrangements can be made.

Public Folder.  A folder labeled "Public Folder" containing the
measures and testimonies for the hearing will be available for
shared use by members of the public.
