HB 3022 HD1   MAKING AND APPROPRIATION FOR CHILD CARE
       CERTIFICATION                          LRE/HHS, WAM
        Appropriates funds to provide income qualified mothers
        the opportunity to become trained child care
        providers.

HB 2511 HD1 RELATING TO LONG TERM CARE          HHS/LRE, WAM
        Provides DHS more flexibility in providing a continuum
        of services for eligible, disabled individuals by
        allowing the employment of civl service and non-civil
        service personnel for the Meduicaid Waiver programs.

HB 2154 HD2  RELATING TO COMMUNITY SERVICES       LRE/HHS, WAM
        Transfers the Office of Community Services from DLIR
        to DHS.  Defines responsibilities of OCS; establishes
        an advisory council.

HB 3016 HD1  RELATING TO MEDICAL ASSISTANCE TO LOW-INCOME 
        PERSONS                                    HHS, WAM
        Appropriates funds to enable DHS to raise the income
        eligibility of the medically needy population.

Persons wishing to testify should submit 35 copies of their
testimony for the Joint Committee Hearing bills and 20 copies of
their testimony for the HHS only bills with two holes at the top,
to the committee clerk, Room 228, State Capitol, 24 hours prior
to the hearing. Testimony may also be faxed if less than 5 pages
in length, to the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at 586-6659
(toll free for neighbor islands), at least 24 hours prior to the
hearing. When faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is
being submitted, the date and time of the hearing, and the
required number of copies needed for submittal. 

If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids or services
to participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language
interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for
the disabled), please contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior
to the hearing so arrangements can be made.
