The Internet has changed the way the world does business and the
State must invest in its workforce so that it can compete in the
new global economy.  The State Adminstration recently proposed $1
million for the Asia Pacific Center for E-Commerce and
Entrepreneurship at the University of Hawaii's College of
Business Administration (CBA).  Dr. David McClain, Dean of the
CBA, proposed the Center whose mission is to give students the
skills they need to excel in the burgeoning Internet economy.
The Dean with the assistance of several colleagues, will share
his vision, plans and programs.

David McClain, Dean and First Hawaiian Bank Professor of
Leadership and Management;

Jack Suyderhoud, Associate Dean and Professor of Financial
Economics and Institutions;

William Chismar, Chair of the Department of Decision Sciences;

Shirley Daniel, Director of the Pacific Asian Management
Institute and Professor of Accountancy; 

 


 
James Wills, Executive Secretary of the Academy of International
Business and Professor of Marketing; and

Barry Weinman, General Partner of Media Technology Ventures/AVI
Capital, Los Gatos, CA.
