        FEASIBILITY OF ESTABLISHING A 
        TECHNOLOGY-FOCUSED COMMUNITY-BASED 
        CENTER IN WAIALUA TOWN
        Appropriates funds to study the feasibility of
        establishing a technology-focused community-based
        center in Waialua town.

SB 3137  RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE OF SPECIAL        ECD, WAM
        PURPOSE REVENUE BONDS TO ASSIST 
        PROCESSING ENTERPRISES
        Authorizes the issuance of special purpose revenue
        bonds to assist Science and Technology International,
        Inc.

SB 3064  RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE OF SPECIAL        ECD, WAM
        PURPOSE REVENUE BONDS FOR PROCESSING 
        ENTERPRISES
        Authorizes special purpose revenue bonds for the
        planning and construction of a multi-function facility
        for food processing.

SB 2779  RELATING TO STATE ENTERPRISE ZONES         ECD, WAM
        Makes explicit the eligibility of biotechnology
        businesses and certain types of call centers as
        qualified businesses within an enterprise zone, to add
        "assisted technology equipment" to the definition of

 
        an enterprise zone eligible service business, and to
        clarify eligibility for the enterprise zone contractor
        exemption from the general excise tax (GET).

SB 1457  RELATING TO LENDER EXEMPTIONS              ECD, WAM
        Encourages lending for commercial projects and for
        small and emerging high technology businesses pursuing
        innovative techniques by making exemptions from
        current taxation law.

SB 2709  RELATING TO TAXATION                       ECD, WAM
        Sets the tax credit percentage for qualified resort
        improvements.

SB 2253  RELATING TO ENERGY CONSERVATION            ECD, WAM
        Specifies that Model Energy Code standards for
        residential buildings shall apply to previously
        unoccupied new residential real property sold after
        07/01/01.

SB 2055  RELATING TO NET ENERGY METERING            ECD, CPN
        Increases the maximum allowable generating capacity
        used by an eligible customer-generator under a net
        energy metering contract, establishes certain
        requirements for contracts, and limits the imposition
        of additional charges.  Establishes more detailed
        requirements for making net energy metering
        calculations.

Capitol, 24 hours prior to the hearing. Testimony may also be
faxed if less than 5 pages in length, to the Senate Sergeant-At-
Arms Office at 586-6659 or 1-800-586-6659 (toll free for neighbor
islands), at least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  When faxing,
please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the
date and time of the hearing, and the required number of copies
needed for submittal.
