SB 2221  RELATING TO ETHANOL                        ECD, WAM
        Provides a tax credit for the production of ethanol.

SB 2415  RELATING TO AGRICULTURAL INFRASTRUCTURE    ECD, WAM
        Provides a tax credit for agricultural infrastructure
        investments.

SB 2748  MAKING AN EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION FOR      ECD, WAM
        THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE
        Authorizes the issuance of $3,800,000 in general
        obligation bonds to finance the planning, design,
        construction and equipping of a new building for the
        Measurement Standards and Commodities programs of the
        Department of Agriculture.  Also appropriates $500,000
        to cover all expenses related to temporarily
        relocating the Measurement Standards program and
        identifies $280,000 in general obligation bonds from a
        project for lapsing.

SB 2528  MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR EMERGENCY      ECD, WAM
        REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE OF HAMAKUA 
        DITCH FACILITIES
        Appropriates $100,000 for FY 2000-2001 and the same
        sum for FY 2001-2002, to DOA for emergency repair and
        maintenance of Hamakua Ditch facilities.

SB 2742  RELATING TO PORK                           ECD, WAM
        Mandates that retailers label pork produced in the
        State of Hawaii as "Island Produced Pork."

SB 2164  RELATING TO THE ORGANIC AGRICULTURE        ECD, WAM
 
        INDUSTRY
        Requires the Department of Agriculture to compile
        statistics on organic agriculture.

SB 2226  RELATING TO ANIMAL QUARANTINE              ECD, WAM
        Adds a new part to implement modified quarantine
        requirements for all service animals used by an
        individual with disabilities; appropriates unspecified
        funds to the DOA for the purposes of this Act.

SB 2123  RELATING TO ANIMAL QUARANTINE              ECD, WAM
        Establishes the animal quarantine military assistance
        account within the animal quarantine special fund to
        partially defray the cost of quarantining cats, dogs,
        and other carnivores owned by active-duty military
        personnel transferring to Hawaii.  Appropriates funds
        into the account.

SB 2099  RELATING TO PLANT AND NON-DOMESTIC         ECD, WAM
        ANIMAL QUARANTINE
        Requires a permit for the importation of a
        conditionally approved animal into the State to be
        granted by the DOA not more than 3 working days after
        the DOA receives a complete application for the
        permit, including any fees.  Adds 34 insect species to
        the DOA's list of conditionally approved animals.

SB 2530  RELATING TO AGRICULTURE                    ECD, WAM
        Authorizes the issuance of $10,000,000 in special
        purpose revenue bonds for Hawaii Gold Cacao Tree.

islands), at least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  When faxing,
please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the
date and time of the hearing, and the required number of copies
needed for submittal.

to participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language
interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for

to the hearing so arrangements can be made.
