Please focus your testimony on the differences, if any, between the House and Senate measures identified below. HB 2219 RELATING TO INSURANCE. CPN HD1 Requires the insurance commissioner to treat as (SB 2562) confidential all nonpublic financial information submitted by a captive insurer. HB 2220 RELATING TO CAPTIVE INSURANCE. CPN (SB 2278) Allows flexibility in use of accounting methods for preparation of financial statements other than class 3 insurers and authorizes captive insurers to merge or convert into different forms of captive insurance. HB 2471 RELATING TO THE HAWAII INSURANCE GUARANTY CPN HD1 ASSOCIATION. Updates the guaranty fund provisions, which are applicable to the Hawaii Insurance Guaranty Association. HB 2475 RELATING TO INSURANCE. CPN HD1 Requires audit statements to be in accordance with the standards set forth by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. HB 2479 RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE EXPRESS WARRANTY CPN HD1 ENFORCEMENT (LEMON LAW). Includes the finance and interest charges paid by a consumer in the consumer's "Lemon Law" refund. HB 2797 RELATING TO INSURANCE CODE. CPN HD1 Clarifies citations to federal law appearing in (SB 2292) the section of the insurance code providing for applicability of the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 to group and individual health insurance as regulated under the insurance code.
