HB 2017  RELATING TO COLLECTION AGENCIES                          CPN
HD1     Exempts persons collecting debts for out-of-state clients by
        means of interstate communication, from collection agency
        registration and bonding requirements.  (HB2017 HD1)  (SAY)

HB 2216  RELATING TO UNINSURED MOTOR VEHICLES                     CPN
        Redefines "uninsured motor vehicle" where an unidentified
        vehicle causes the accident so as to delete notice to the
        insurer.  (HIRAKI)

HB 1761  RELATING TO MOTOR CARRIERS                          TIA, CPN
        Redefines advertising by motor carriers so as to reach all
        communications media.  (HIRAKI/ GOODENOW/ CATALANI/ TAKAI)

HB 2425  RELATING TO CONDOMINIUM PROPERTY REGIMES                 CPN
HD1 SD1  Property regimes under chapter 514A are subject to county
        zoning and other county building and development ordinances and

HB 2476  RELATING TO INSURANCE                               LRE, CPN
HD1 SD1  Creates a uniform reference to the "workers' compensation
        supplemental medical fee schedule."  (SD1)  (SAY (BR))

HB 2727  RELATING TO INTERISLAND VEHICLE TRANSFERS.          TIA, CPN
HD1 SD1  Repeals the requirement that registered owners of a vehicle
        with an outstanding loan cannot ship the vehicle between the
        islands unless he obtains a notarized statement from the

HB 1773  RELATING TO THE MOTOR CARRIER LAW                           CPN
HD1     Requires the Public Utilities Commission to render decisions on
        motions for either reconsideration or rehearing under the Motor
        Carriers law, and issue an order within 45 days.  (HB1773 HD1)

Persons wishing to testify should submit 25 copies, 3-hole punched, of their
testimony to the committee clerk, Room 202, State Capitol, 24 hours prior to
the hearing. Testimony may also be faxed if less than 5 pages in length, to
the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at 586-6659 or 1-800-586-6659 (toll free
for neighbor islands), at least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  When faxing,
please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and time
of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for submittal.

If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids or services to
participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language interpreter,
wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for the disabled), please
contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior to the hearing so arrangements can
be made.
