The Committee previously held public hearings on Senate bills that are
substantially similar to House bills as noted.  Please focus your testimony
on the differences, if any, between the House and Senate measures identified
below.

HB 1834 HD2      RELATING TO LONG-TERM CARE               HHS/CPN, WAM
(SB 2062)           Extends the sunset date of the Joint Legislative
                 Committee on Long-term Care Financing from June 30,
                 2000, to June 30, 2002.  Extends the actuarial study on
                 long-term care from November 15, 1999, to November 15,
                 2001.  Clarifies requirements for the actuarial study.
                 Appropriates $200,000 for the actuarial study. (HB1834

HB 2392 HD2      RELATING TO HEALTH                       HHS/CPN, WAM
(Sim. to SB 2657)   Requires all individual accident and sickness health
Proposed Senate     care policies providing health care coverage, and all
draft available     group health care contracts issued by health maintenance
for review in       organizations and mutual benefit societies, to cover

 
Room 228.           outpatient diabetes self-management training, education,

HB 2222 HD1      RELATING TO CONDOMINIUMS                 CPN/GOH, WAM
                 Appropriates funds for a comprehensive review of the
                 condominium property regimes law and related laws and
                 issues, and the development of proposed legislation
                 recodifying the condominium law.  (HB2222 HD1)

Persons wishing to testify should submit 45 copies, 3-hole punched, of their
testimony to the committee clerk, Room 202, State Capitol, 24 hours prior to
the hearing. Testimony may also be faxed if less than 5 pages in length, to
the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at 586-6659 or 1-800-586-6659 (toll free
for neighbor islands), at least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  When faxing,
please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and time
of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for submittal.

If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids or services to
participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language interpreter,
wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for the disabled), please
contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior to the hearing so arrangements
can be made.

Public Folder.  A folder labeled "Public Folder" containing the measures and
testimonies for the hearing will be available for shared use by members of
the public.
