                   A  BILL  FOR  AN  ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR EXPENSES OF THE LEGISLATURE. 


BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 1      SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the general
 
 2 revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $          , or so
 
 3 much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2000-2001, for
 
 4 defraying per diem employment expenses of the senate up to and
 
 5 including February 29, 2000.
 
 6      SECTION 2.  There is appropriated out of the general
 
 7 revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $          , or so
 
 8 much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2000-2001, for
 
 9 defraying per diem employment expenses of the house of
 
10 representatives up to and including February 29, 2000.
 
11      SECTION 3.  Payment of expenses of the senate during the
 
12 period covered under this Act shall be made only with the
 
13 approval of the president of the senate, and payment of expenses
 
14 of the house of representatives during the period covered under
 
15 this Act shall be made only with the approval of the speaker of
 
16 the house of representatives.
 
17      SECTION 7.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
