                     HOUSE  RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING THE 2000 NARCISSUS FESTIVAL QUEEN LIBBY DING KWUN
   LUM AND THE MEMBERS OF HER COURT; FIRST PRINCESS KATHRYN LO
   MEI KAM, SECOND PRINCESS SERENE FANG WANG, THIRD PRINCESS
   DANA-LI ANNETTE KWAI TSIN DUNG, AND FOURTH PRINCESS JEANNIE
   SOO HUANG LIM.



 1       WHEREAS, the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii began
 2   its annual Narcissus Festival fifty-one years ago to preserve
 3   and perpetuate culture among the Chinese community; and
 4   
 5       WHEREAS, like the Narcissus flower, a pure blossom of white
 6   that emerges from the cold of winter heralding the beauty and
 7   promise of Spring, the Narcissus Festival celebrates the beauty
 8   and strength of the Chinese culture, culminating in the
 9   selection of the Narcissus Festival Queen Libby Ding Kwun Lum
10   and her court, who will serve as goodwill ambassadors for the
11   Chinese community and the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii
12   during their one-year reign in this year of the Dragon; and
13   
14       WHEREAS, endowed with intelligence, charming personalities
15   and a radiant beauty, the following individuals were selected
16   to the Narcissus Court:  Queen Libby Ding Kwun Lum, First
17   Princess Kathryn Lo Mei Kam, Second Princess Serene Fang Wang,
18   Third Princess Dana-Li Annette Kwai Tsin Dung, Fourth Princess
19   Jeannie Soo Huang Lim and are thereby deserving of the special
20   recognition for their abilities and achievements; now therefore
21   
22       BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the
23   Twentieth Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session
24   of 2000, that this body hereby recognizes and honors Queen
25   Libby Ding Kwun Lum, First Princess Kathryn Lo Mei Kam, Second
26   Princess Serene Fang Wang, Third Princess Dana-Li Annette Kwai
27   Tsin Dung, and Fourth Princess Jeannie Soo Huang Lim for being
28   selected to the 2000 Narcissus Festival Court, and extends to
29   them its warmest Aloha and best wishes for continued success in
30   all future endeavors.
