                     A BILL FOR AN ACT

RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE ELEVENTH
   REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:


 1      SECTION 1.  The following sums, or so much thereof as shall
 
 2 be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are
 
 3 hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of
 
 4 Hawaii for fiscal year 2000-2001.
 
 5 1.  To be expended by the department of accounting and general
 
 6 services:
 
 7      A.   Kula elementary school
 
 8           Design and construction for six-classroom
 
 9             building.
 
10                Design    $   300,000
 
11                Construction                             2,135,000
 
12                     Total funding                     $ 2,435,000
 
13      B.   King Kekaulike high school
 
14           Design and construction for 6-classroom
 
15             building.
 
16                Design    $   300,000
 
17                Construction                             3,200,000
 
18                     Total funding                     $ 3,500,000
 
19      C.   Kula hospital

 1           Construction for renovations.
 
 2                Construction                           $   950,000
 
 3                     Total funding                     $   950,000
 
 4      SECTION 2.  The appropriations made for capital improvement
 
 5 projects authorized in the Act shall not lapse at the end of the
 
 6 fiscal biennium for which the appropriation is made; provided
 
 7 that all appropriations which are unemcumbered as of June 30,
 
 8 2002, shall lapse as of that date.
 
 9      SECTION 3.  The sums appropriated shall be expended by the
 
10 department of accounting and general services for the purposes of
 
11 this Act.
 
12      SECTION 4.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2000.
