Report Title: Herbicide Use; Public Parks

Description: Requires all state agencies to use nonchemical methods to control vegetation growth in public parks. Requires the department of land and natural resources to: (1) Encourage and assist the counties to join and comply with the scheduled ban of herbicide use in public parks; (2) Develop and implement a plan for the phased reduction of herbicide use in the maintenance of public parks; and (3) Submit a report to the legislature prior to the 2000 regular session on the progress of the plan.
