At the last meeting of our Keiki Caucus on August 12th, the decision to form smaller working groups to discuss priority, strategy, and budgeting approach was made. These working groups are organized around the age groups of children to better focus on specific issues.

PROCESS FOR DETERMINING PRIORITIES FOR KIDS

STEP 1 – SMALL GROUPS (This may require more than one meeting):

STEP 2 – LARGE GROUP (keiki caucus) meets
Identify common threads among small group work.
STEP 3 - SMALL GROUPS
List priorities for your age group (i.e.) strategies to make kids SAFE, HEALTHY, and HAPPY.)
Determine resources available for the priorities affecting your age group. Consider:
STEP 4 - LARGE GROUP MEETS
Determine priorities across age group to be attained within the next
year of a five-year time frame.
Set priorities for kids during the 2000 Session.
