SB 461      RELATING TO HAWAIIAN FISHPONDS.                     WLU,JHA,FIN
         Expands the authority of the chair of the office of Hawaiian
         affairs to lease government-owned Hawaiian fishponds.
SB 568 SD2  RELATING TO HISTORIC PRESERVATION.                  WLU,JHA,FIN
         Establishes a burial site program within DLNR to assist island
         burial councils with their mandated responsibilities.
         Clarifies and strengthens various laws relating to the
         preservation of native Hawaiian burial sites and artifacts.
SB 646 SD2  RELATING TO GOVERNMENT.                             WLU,JHA,FIN
         Reduces the cost of copying government records from 50 cents to
         6 cents.  Expands powers of the Barbers Point NAS Redevelopment
         Commission.  Expands responsibilities of Stadium Authority to
         include Kapolei Rec. Sports Complex; creates Kapolei special
         fund. 
SB 607 HD1  RELATING TO FIREARMS.                               WLU,JHA,FIN
         Repeals prohibition for non-resident aliens to bring firearms
         into the State under certain conditions.
SB 1095     RELATING TO HUNTING.                                WLU,JHA,FIN
         Authorizes an additional two years to allow adequate time to
         implement and evaluate the effect of handgun hunting.
SB 942 SD1  RELATING TO HUNTING.                                    WLU,FIN
         Requires DLNR to manage and preserve wildlife sanctuaries for
         public hunting; adds definitions of "game management area" and
         "public hunting area".
SB 1082 SD2 RELATING TO THE BUREAU OF CONVEYANCES.pending re-referral to
         WLU,FIN
         Establishes a Bureau of Conveyances Special Fund and dedicates
         a portion of fees collected by the Bureau to the fund.
SB 1080     RELATING TO PLANNING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT.         WLU,FIN
         Allows the continuation of the review of Kakaako waterfront
         development applications to facilitate development, create
         jobs, expand the tax base, and generate revenues.
SB 1097 SD2 RELATING TO TIMBER MANAGEMENT.                          WLU,FIN
         Provides for reforestation and maintenance of timber harvest
         areas on state lands; enhanced management of public forest

 
         reserves; development of public education and training
         programs. 
SB 1098     RELATING TO THE STATE WATER CODE.                       WLU,JHA
         Clarifies that the Commission on Water Resources Management has
         exclusive jurisdiction and final authority in matters relating
         to the code.
