HB 1503     RELATING TO THE COUNTIES                            WLU/EEP,FIN
         Allows counties to place liens on real property served by a
         county sewer system for uncollected water and sewer fees.

HB 1379 HD1 RELATING TO AGRICULTURE.                            AGR,WLU,FIN
         Allows persons owning property within an agricultural district
         to subdivide the property into leasehold lots of at least 50
         acres to be used for intensive agricultural purposes. 
HB 796 HD1  RELATING TO PUBLIC LANDS                                WLU,FIN
         Provides additional security to lenders on land or interest
         covered by a lease, patent, license, agreement or other
         instrument.  Provides flexibility to the Department of Land and
         Natural Resources to assign or transfer leases based on current
         industry standards.  
HB 797 HD1  RELATING TO OUTDOOR RECREATION                          WLU,JHA
         Allows for hunting of game birds by residents of foreign
         countries under certain circumstances.  
HB 1397     RELATING TO EXTENSION AND ISSUANCE OF NEW LEASES OF PUBLIC
         LANDS. 
                                                                 WLU,FIN
         Enables DLNR to extend or issue new leases to lessees of public
         lands.
HB 1653     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE ALA WAI CANAL WATERSHED
         IMPROVEMENT PROJECT.                                    WLU,FIN
         Appropriates funds to implement capital improvement projects in
         the Ala Wai canal watershed.
HB 827 HD1  RELATING TO PUBLIC LANDS.                           TSM,WLU,FIN
         Authorizes the department of land and natural resources to
         enter into 55-year leases for property within the Banyan Drive
         resort area.

 
HB 1519     RELATING TO THE KAKAAKO COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT. WLU,FIN
         Returns the planning and zoning authority of the Kakaako
         District area mauka of Ala Moana Blvd. to the C&C of Honolulu.
HB 814      RELATING TO THE ECONOMY.                            EDB,WLU,FIN
         Provides a two-year authorization to the governor to provide
         tax breaks and land lease incentives to assist high technology
         industries that provide jobs for the people of Hawaii.
HB 208 HD1  RELATING TO THE OFFICE OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY CONTROL.
                                                             EEP,WLU,FIN
         Requires publication of environmentally related permit
         applications in the OEQC bulletin.
HB 1233     RELATING TO WAILUPE STREAM.                             WLU,FIN
         Directs the department of land and natural resources to create
         plans, specifications and estimates for the Wailupe stream
         flood control project.  Appropriates funds.

HB 582      RELATING TO LANDOWNER LIABILITY.                        WLU,JHA
         Grants property owners immunity from civil liability incurred
         when a person is injured on the owner's land while engaging in
         a "recreational purpose".

HB 1332     RELATING TO THE REDEVELOPMENT OF BARBERS POINT NAVAL AIR
         STATION.
                                                                 WLU,FIN
         Directs the Barbers Point Naval Air Station (BPNAS)
         redevelopment commission to identify lands in Barber's Point
         for use as a high technology park.
HB 504      RELATING TO AGRICULTURAL LANDS.                         WLU,FIN
         Allows transient accommodations of agricultural lands under
         certain restrictions.

  Persons wishing to testify are requested to submit the required copies
of their testimony 24 HOURS prior to the hearing to:  (1)  The committee's
Vice Chair IN ROOM 432, State Capitol; or (2)  The House testimony drop-off
at the State Capitol basement turnaround.  Testimony may be sent by
