        Funds Small Business Defender position established
        under Act 168, Session Laws of Hawaii 1998.

H.B. 221 RELATING TO THE HAWAII TOURISM AUTHORITY    ECD,WAM
H.D. 2   Requires the Hawaii Tourism authority to submit a
        long-term 
S.D. 1   policy plan to the legislature twenty days before the
        regular session of 2000.  Stipulates that the long-
        range policy plan identify other departments and
        agencies involved and specify a program of action for
        those agencies.  Specifies that the strategic tourism
        marketing plan implement the recommendations of the
        long-range policy plan and be updated every two years.

H.B. 801 RELATING TO SPECIAL PURPOSE REVENUE BONDS FOR  ECD,WAM
H.D. 1   PROCESSING ENTERPRISES
        Authorizes the issuance of special purpose revenue
        bonds to assist CEATECH USA in planning and building a
        processing plant for shrimp.

H.D. 1   FOR AIRPORTS

 
        Redefines "special facility" for special facility
        revenue bonds and leases for airports to include cargo

        Establishes a separate agricultural water supply and
        delivery system under the board of agriculture for the
        farms in upcountry Maui.

        Proposes an emergency appropriation ($31,000,000) for
        the tourism special fund.

H.D. 1   OFFICE OF HAWAIIAN AFFAIRS
S.D. 1   Restarts the Office of Hawaiian Affairs salary review

H.B. 1114  RELATING TO THE HAWAIIAN HOMES COMMISSION ACT, WHL,WAM
H.D. 1   1920, AS AMENDED
        Authorizes transfer of a homestead lessee's interest
        to a spouse, child, or grandchild who is at least one-
        quarter Hawaiian.

H.B. 1172  RELATING TO THE BUREAU OF CONVEYANCES       WLH,WAM
H.D. 2   Authorizes the deposit of a portion of recording and
        other 
S.D. 1   collected fees into the Bureau of Conveyances Special
        Fund and establishes the Bureau of Conveyances Special
        Fund.
