HB 14      RELATING TO THE HAWAII MARITIME AUTHORITY   
                                             TRN/WLU/OMR,FIN

        Prolongs the existence of the Temporary Maritime
        Authority Commission and extends the deadline for its
        legislative report.

TRN ONLY:
HB 1       RELATING TO CHILD PASSENGER SAFETY           TRN,JHA 
        Requires a child under four years of age instead of
        under three years of age to be properly restrained in
        child passenger seat.

HB 5       RELATING TO THE STATEWIDE TRAFFIC CODE       TRN,JHA
        Prevents persons with outstanding traffic bench
        warrants to obtain or renew a driver's license or to
        register or transfer a motor vehicle.

HB 8       RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE DRIVER LICENSING   TRN,JHA
        Prohibits the use of a social security number as an
        identification number on a driver's license.

HB 7       RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES                   TRN,JHA
        Increases from 60 to 65 feet, total overall length of
        trucktractor and semitrailer.  For certain other like
        vehicles, increases the length of the semitrailer from
        45 to 48 feet.

 
HB 10      RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES                   TRN,JHA
        Requires an employer to provide a driver improvement
        program for any motor vehicle driver who drives a
        motor vehicle with a gross vehicle rating of over
        10,000 pounds.

HB 11      RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES                   TRN,CPC
        Increases from 11,001 to 12,001 gross vehicle weight
        for a category 4 driver license.

HB 16      RELATING TO TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS               TRN,JHA
        Requires that proof of negligence be shown when
        convicting a driver of inattention while driving.

HB 17      RELATING TO MARITIME                     TRN,WLU,FIN
        Excludes Piers 1 and 2 at Fort Armstrong from the
        Kakaako community development district.

HB 18      RELATING TO BICYCLING                        TRN,JHA
        Allows bicyclists to travel on the edge of roadways,
        except under certain conditions.

HB 45      RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE DRIVER LICENSING   TRN,JHA
        Makes driving with an expired license a violation, but
        a lesser one than driving without ever having obtained
        a driver's license.

HB 78      RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE REGISTRATION       TRN,JHA
        Allows motor vehicle owners to be refunded for motor
        vehicle registration fees if the vehicle is
        inoperable.
