        Provides the State's share of project costs to design
        and construct improvements to Salt Lake Boulevard,

S.B. 75  AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS
        AND MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR COUNTY OF KAUAI
        CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT                 TIA,WAM
        Authorizes the issuance of general obligation bonds
        for capital improvement projects for Kauai county.

S.B 76   AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS
        AND MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE COUNTY OF KAUAI
        CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS                TIA,WAM
        Appropriates moneys for various projects in Kauai

S.B. 1256  RELATING TO AN INTERISLAND FERRY SYSTEM     TIA,WAM
        Appropriates funds for an interisland ferry system
        between Maui and Molokai.  (BUEN)

S.B. 1354  AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS
        FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE COUNTY OF
        HAWAII TIA,WAM
        Authorizing the issuance of general obligation bonds
        for capital improvement projects for the county of
        Hawaii.  (MIZUGUCHI) (BR)

 


 
S.B. 1255  AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS
        TO BUILD A HAWAII ISLAND VETERANS MEMORIAL 
        CENTER                                      TIA,WAM
        Authorizes the issuance of $3,299,400 in general
        obligation bonds to build a Hawaii Island Veterans
        Memorial Center.  (LEVIN, et al)

S.B. 1380  RELATING TO POLICE DEPARTMENTS              TIA,JDC
        Allows the chief of police of each county to enforce
        the laws of the State in a county other than the
        county in which the chief has been appointed, for any
        law enforcement purpose within the capital state
        (rather than only to pursue an investigation commenced
        within the county in which the chief has been
        appointed.  (MIZUGUCHI) (BR)

S.B. 1381        RELATING TO FIREARMS               TIA,JDC
        Provides qualified immunity for law enforcement
        officers dealing with the denial or approval of
        firearm permits and when serving or enforcing court
        protective orders.  Imposes assessment to owner for
        storage and handling cost of recovered firearms.

S.B. 1379  RELATING TO CRIMINAL ASSAULTS AND RELATED 
        OFFENSES                                    TIA,JDC
        Increases penalty for assault against a police officer
        and changes term to law enforcement officer.  Provides
        that reckless state of mind cause substantial bodily
        injury to the officer.  Includes law enforcement
        officer in public servants for purposes of terroristic
        threatening in the 1st degree.  (MIZUGUCHI) (BR)
                             
S.B. 1371  RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES                  TIA,CPN
        Identifies those motor vehicle repair dealers required
        to be registered as being subject to inspection for
        theft investigations.  (MIZUGUCHI) (BR)

S.B. 808 RELATING TO LIQUOR LICENSES                 TIA,CPN
        Adds to the factors that the liquor commission may
        consider in its revocation or suspension of renewal of
        existing liquor license, the prevention of assault.

SCR 27   CALLING FOR A TASK FORCE AND REQUESTING A STUDY TO
        REVIEW THE FISCAL NEEDS OF THE STATE HIGHWAY FUND AND
        REPORT ON DEVELOPING A REVENUE PLAN FOR THE HIGHWAYS
        DIVISION TIA,WAM

hours prior to the hearing. Testimony may also be faxed if less
than 5 pages in length, to the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at

least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  When faxing, please
indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and
time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for
submittal.
