H.B. 1124  RELATING TO THE STATE ADVISORY COUNCIL ON     HHS, LRE
S.D. 1     REHABILITATION
        Changes the name of state advisory council on
        rehabilitation to state rehabilitation council,
        increases membership from 19 to 21, and clarifies
        duties.
        (See S.B. 1057, heard on 02/25/99)

H.B. 102   RELATING TO WAGE PAYMENTS                          LRE
H.D. 2     Clarifies that the penalty applied to employers for
        unjustified wage withholding will be equal to the
        amount of unpaid wages and interest at a rate of six
        percent per year from the date wages were due.

        (On 03/16/99, the hearing of this measure was
        deferred.  Testimony for this measure will be
        accepted.)

Persons wishing to testify should submit 30 copies (single sided,
stapled, without holes) of their testimony to the vice-chair's
office, Room 217, State Capitol, 24 hours prior to the hearing.

the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at 586-6659 or 1-800-586-6659

 
(toll free for neighbor islands), at least 24 hours prior to the
hearing.  When faxing, please indicate the date and time of the
hearing, the required number of copies needed for submittal, and
that the testimony be delivered to the LRE vice-chair's office,
Room 217.

If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids or services
to participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language
interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for
the disabled), please contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior
to the hearing so arrangements can be made.

Public Folder.  A folder labeled "Public Folder" containing the
measures and testimonies for the hearing will be available for
shared use by members of the public.
