HB 1609        RELATING TO PROCUREMENT                    JHA,FIN
            Prohibits the State from contracting with foreign
            entities that have been convicted of, or pleaded
            nolo contendere to, any crime involving an act of
            fraud or dishonesty, including bribery or bid
            rigging, in any jurisdiction of the United States.
            Voids such contracts based on the foreign person's
            misrepresentation.

HB 1117 HD1    RELATING TO THE CHILD PROTECTIVE ACT   HSH,JHA,FIN
            Brings Hawaii into compliance with the federal
            Adoption and Safe Families Act of 1997. 

HB1125         RELATING TO RECOVERY OF MEDICAL        HSH,JHA,FIN
            PAYMENTS
            Clarifies and standardizes the provisions
            regarding the reimbursement rights of the
            Department of Human Services (DHS) in third-party
            liability situations.

 
 
 
HB 955         RELATING TO CRIME                              JHA
            Makes it a class B felony to take sexual
            photographs or videotapes of a person without
            consent and when the person expects privacy.
            Makes it a misdemeanor to possess such materials.
            
HB 167 HD1     RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE DRIVER       TRN,JHA,FIN
            LICENSING
            Establishes a graduated licensing procedure for
            persons under 17.

HB 1367 HD1    MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE      HLT/HSH,JHA,FIN
            PROTECTION OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES
            Appropriates funds for various programs and
            services for the protection of children and
            families.

HB 1193        RELATING TO CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES          JHA,FIN
            Clarifies and updates provisions relating to
            controlled substances.
