HB 10         RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES                  TRN,JHA
           Requires a driver improvement program for any motor
           vehicle driver who drives a motor vehicle with a
           gross vehicle weight rating of over 10,000 pounds.

HB 16         RELATING TO TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS              TRN,JHA
           Requires both a mental state and an act in the
           petty misdemeanor of inattentive driving.

HB 7          RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES                  TRN,JHA
           Increases from 60 to 65 feet, total overall length
           of truck-tractor and semitrailer.  For certain
           other like vehicles, increases the length of the
           semitrailer from 45 to 48 feet.

HB 1          RELATING TO CHILD PASSENGER SAFETY          TRN,JHA
           Requires child under four years old instead of
           under three years old to be properly restrained in
           child passenger seat.

 
 
 
 
 
HB 15         RELATING TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE              TRN,JHA
           REVOCATION OF A DRIVER'S LICENSE
           Makes housekeeping amendments to the administrative
           revocation of driver's license law.

HB 212        RELATING TO DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE     TRN,JHA
           OF INTOXICATING LIGQUOR
           Imposes a mandatory minimum consecutive jail
           sentence of 48 hours and not more than 30-days and
           a mandatory fine of $500 upon any person convicted
           for DUI who operated or assumed actual physical
           control of a vehicle with a passenger, in or on the
           vehicle, who was less than 18 years of age.

HB 530 HD1    RELATING TO EMPLOYMENT DISCRIMINATION       LAB,JHA
           Makes it an unlawful discriminatory practice for an
           employer to condition employment or hiring upon the
           employee's relinquishment of the right to initiate
           or participate in an investigation or proceeding
           under chapter 368, HRS, or any other right under
           chapters 368 or 378, HRS.

HB 162        RELATING PUBLIC SERVICE                     LMG,JHA
           Clarifies the scope of the subpoena powers of
           legislative bodies by removing statutory references
           to repealed Chapter 85 of the Hawaii Revised
           Statutes.

HB 34 HD1     RELATING TO AQUATIC RESOURCES               OMR,JHA
           Allows the Department of Land and Natural Resources
           to adopt administrative rules relating to aquatic
           resource regulations that specify bag limits, sales
           restrictions, seasons, and regulation on fishing
           gear.
