HB 1444    RELATING TO THE DISPOSITION OF NOTARY RECORDS  JHA,FIN
        Requires notary public records to be deposited with
        the attorney general rather than the courts.

HB 1454    RELATING TO FEES                               JHA,FIN
        Removes fee for application for appointment of special
        administrator by court order; informal probate or
        appointment proceeding under chapter 560; and
        application under chapter 560 for formal testacy
        proceedings or for supervised administration.  Adds
        $100 fee for domiciliary foreign personal
        representative.

HB 1001    RELATING TO JUDGMENT LIENS IN FAVOR OF THE     JHA,FIN
        STATE
        Clarifies that judgment in favor of the State and the
        liens which arise from those judgments are not limited
        to the ten-year duration of other judgments.


 
 
 
 
 
HB 1002    RELATING TO THE HAWAII PUBLIC PROCUREMENT      JHA,FIN
        CODE
        Exempts from the Procurement Code contracts for
        attorneys who are employed or retained to perform
        legal services for the State or any of its agencies
        outside Hawaii.

HB 986     RELATING TO REMEDIES OF PART VII, CHAPTER      JHA,FIN
        103D, HAWAII REVISED STATUTES
        Proposes revisions to the State Procurement Code to
        clarify protest procedures and other remedies
        available.

HB 1052    RELATING TO GOVERNMENT                         JHA,FIN
        Transfers fines and forfeitures from uncontested
        traffic infractions to the counties in fiscal year
        2000 and each fiscal year thereafter.

HB 1111    RELATING TO YEAR 2000 ERRORS BY COMPUTER-      JHA,FIN
        BASED SYSTEMS
        Provides protection for persons who exercise
        commercially reasonable efforts to identify and find
        solutions for computer-based systems that may be
        affected by year 2000 errors.

HB 1105    RELATING TO CLAIMS AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT      JHA,FIN
        BASED ON YEAR 2000 ERRORS BY COMPUTER-BASED SYSTEMS
        Amends the Y2K immunity provisions established.
        Extends the time frame covered by the immunity for
        government computer systems beyond June 30, 1999.

HB 988     MAKING AN EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION FOR          JHA,FIN
        STATE GOVERNMENT TO IMPLEMENT YEAR 2000 COMPLIANCE
        EFFORTS
        Provides funding for continued testing, modification,
        and support of the State's computer systems for Year
        2000 compliance.

HB 1193    RELATING TO CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES              JHA,FIN
        Clarifies and update provisions relating to controlled
        substances.
