HB 1080    RELATING TO THE NAMES OF CORPORATIONS,        CPN, JDC
HD2 SD1    PARTNERSHIPS, AND LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANIES
(SB 1142   Gives corporations, partnerships, limited liability
SD2)       partnerships and limited liability companies the
        ability to seek administrative relief against other
        entities who have registered or use a name that is
        substantially identical or confusingly similar to
        theirs.

HB 1178    RELATING TO ENFORCEMENT                       ECD, JDC
HD1 SD1    Establishes procedures for fishing violations.

HB 273     RELATING TO CHILDREN                          HHS, JDC
HD2 SD1    Creates new penalties for child abuse.

HD2 SD1    Clarifies definition of "foster boarding homes";
(SB 1048   requires criminal history record checks for first two

        the home.

HD3 SD1    Brings Hawaii into compliance with the federal

HB 1119    RELATING TO CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES         HHS, JDC
HD1 SD1    Permits the Director of Human Services, rather than

        and to extend the project through the year 2002.

HB 1153    RELATING TO RETAIL LIQUOR SALES TO MINORS     HHS, JDC
HD1 SD1    Allows persons under between eighteen and twenty years

SD1)       enforcement of laws relating to the sale of liquor to
        minors. 

HB 1636    RELATING TO TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT               TIA, JDC
HD2 SD1    Amends the photo red light imaging and photo speed
(SB 709    imaging detector demonstration project by including
SD1)       other photo technology systems to improve traffic
        enforcement and reduce traffic congestion by producing
        photographic identification of a vehicle which crosses
        longitudinal traffic lane markings.
