        Improves the affordability, accessibility, and quality 
        of early childhood services.  (Arakaki)

H.B. 127 RELATING TO LONG-TERM CARE INSURANCE HSH/HLT, CPC, FIN
        Eliminates limitations on long-term health insurance
        premium payments with respect to medical deductions from
        income when computing taxable income.  (Nakasone)

H.B. 1202  RELATING TO TAX RELIEF FOR          HSH, CPC, FIN
        LONG-TERM HEALTH CARE EXPENSES
        Reduces the tax burden on taxpayers who provide long-
        term care for certain chronically ill individuals by
        adopting the federal deduction for long-term care
        benefits.  (Say)

 


 
H.B. 590 RELATING TO VIOLENCE                HSH, JHA, FIN
        Establishes a protocol for the development and implemen-
        tion of death review teams to review any adult domestic 
        violence and sexual assault-related deaths.  (Oshiro)

H.B. 876 RELATING TO CHILD SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT  HSH, JHA, FIN
        Allows a parent wyho does not contest his or her child
        support obligations and who is in good standing with the
        parent's payments to opt out of the child support
        enforcement agency payment system.  (Oshiro)

H.B. 1574  MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE     HSH, JHA, FIN
        RIGHTS OF CHILDREN
        Appropriates funds for a children's law center.  (Takai)

H.B. 813 RELATING TO PUBLIC UTILITY BILLING   HSH, CPC, FIN
        PROCEDURES FOR BLIND OR VISUALLY-
        IMPAIRED CUSTOMERS
        Requires public or private providers of sewer, water,
        electric, gas, telephone, or cable utility services,
        upon a blind or visually-impaired customer's request, to
        provide billing in braille, large print, or audio
        format, at no additional charge to the customer.

H.B. 1O17  RELATING TO THE HOUSING LOAN AND    HSH, FIN
        MORTGAGE PROGRAM
        Authorizes the Housing and Community Development
        Corporation of Hawaii (HCDCH) to issue an additional $500
        million in tax-exempt revenue bonds for the Hula Mae
        Single Family Mortgage Purchase Program.  (Say)

H.B. 1018  RELATING TO THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY  HSH, FIN
        DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION OF HAWAII
        Amends housing definitions ("qualified resident,"
        and "housing owner").  Lowers income limits for
        participants in State Rent Supplement Program.

H.B. 1026  RELATING TO INSURANCE PREMIUM TAXES  HSH, CPC, FIN
        Allows insurance companies to ulitize the low-income
        housing tax credit to offset insurance premium taxes.

H.B. 904 MAKING APPROPRIATIONS AND AUTHORIZING  HSH, PSM, FIN
        THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION
        BONDS FOR VARIOUS CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS
        Authorizes the issuance of general obligation bonds
        for various projects. (Arakaki)
