HB 351   RELATING TO PRIVACY OF HEALTH CARE          HHS,JDC
HD2     INFORMATION

        Protects privacy of health care information by
        stipulating conditions under which information can be
        disclosed.  Provides penalties.

HB 1620  RELATING TO HEALTH CARE COMMUNITIES         HHS,WAM
HD1
        Authorizes the Housing and Community Development
        Corporation of Hawaii to work in partnership with
        private sector entities to develop health care
        communities in the State.  Establishes a health care
        community revolving fund to make loans to businesses
        for construction of the health care community.

HB 324   RELATING TO DENTAL HYGIENISTS               HHS,CPN
HD2
        Establishes the educational requirements for the
        administration of intra-oral block anesthesia by
        dental hygienists.  Establishes documentation required
        for dental board certification of a hygienist to
        administer anesthesia.  Rules adopted by the Board of
        Dental Examiners on the education and certification of
        dental hygienists to administer intra-oral block
        anesthesia will supersede this measure.

        Provides health insurance coverage of mammograms:  (1)
        annually for women aged 40 and older; or (2) earlier

        Issues $15,000,000 in special purpose revenue bonds
        for Hilo Residency Training Program, Inc., a not-for-
        profit Hawaii corporation.


        DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW, IF TIME PERMITS.


Persons wishing to testify should submit 25 copies of their
testimony to the committee clerk, Room 228, State Capitol, 24
hours prior to the hearing. Testimony may also be faxed if less
than 5 pages in length, to the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at
586-6659 or 1-800-586-6659 (toll free for neighbor islands), at
least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  When faxing, please
indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and
time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for
submittal.

If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids or services
to participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language
interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for
the disabled), please contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior
to the hearing so arrangements can be made.
