HB 1575  MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE             HHS,WAM
HD2     MILLENNIUM YOUNG PEOPLE'S CONGRESS

        Makes appropriation to the Office of Youth Services to
        plan and coordinate home stay services for
        participants in the Children's Millennium Congress.

HB 328   RELATING TO SUBSTANCE ABUSE                 HHS,CPN
HD1
        Expands alcohol and drug abuse treatment coverage to
        physicians who are board certified in psychiatry and
        with additional qualifications.

HB 196   RELATING TO HOSPITALS                       HHS,WAM
HD1
        Requires the Department of Health to conduct a needs
        assessment of the medical needs of the Lahaina and
        West Maui communities.

HB 895   RELATING TO EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES      HHS,WAM
HD2
        Permits the Department of Health to integrate
        emergency aeromedical services into statewide
        emergency medical services.  Establishes an emergency
        aeromedical information system and quality improvement
        advisory committee.

 


 
HB 1274  RELATING TO TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY          HHS,WAM
HD2
        Appropriates moneys to the Department of Health to
        develop a statewide strategic plan for the treatment
        and rehabilitation of survivors with traumatic brain
        injuries.  Appropriates moneys for a project
        coordinator.


HB 1641  RELATING TO THE MEDICALLY UNDERSERVED       HHS,WAM
HD1
        Makes appropriations for the Department of Human
        Services to support primary care for medically
        underserved populations.

HB 549   MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ESTABLISH A      HHS,WAM
HD1     LONG-TERM CARE VOLUNTEER OMBUDSMAN PROGRAM

        Appropriates funds to establish a long-term care
        volunteer ombudsman program.

HB 172   RELATING TO HOSPICE SERVICES                HHS,WAM
HD1
        Authorizes the Department of Health to license hospice
        service agencies and to allow hospice homes with five
        or fewer beds in residential areas.

testimony to the committee clerk, Room 228, State Capitol, 24
hours prior to the hearing. Testimony may also be faxed if less
than 5 pages in length, to the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at

least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  When faxing, please
indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and
time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for
submittal.

to participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language
interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for
the disabled), please contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior
to the hearing so arrangements can be made.

shared use by members of the public.
