        THAT PROVIDE HEALTH CARE FACILITIES

        Authorizes issuance of special purpose revenue bonds
        for a senior citizen lifecare retirement community.

SB 1608  AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF SPECIAL PURPOSE  HHS,WAM
        REVENUE BONDS FOR NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATIONS 
        THAT PROVIDE HEALTH CARE FACILITIES

        Authorizes the issuance of special purpose revenue
        bonds to assist not-for-profit Hawaii corporations
        that provide health care facilities.

SB 1609  AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF SPECIAL PURPOSE  HHS,WAM
        REVENUE BONDS FOR NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATIONS 
        THAT PROVIDE HEALTH CARE FACILITIES

        Authorizes the issuance of special purpose revenue
        bonds to assist Wahiawa Central-Oahu Health Center,
        Inc., a not-for-profit Hawaii corporation, or a Hawaii
        nonprofit affiliate of Wahiawa General Central-Oahu
        Health Center, Inc.

SB 1610  AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF SPECIAL PURPOSE  HHS,WAM
        REVENUE BONDS FOR NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATIONS 
        THAT PROVIDE HEALTH CARE FACILITIES

        Authorizes the issuance of special purpose revenue
        bonds to assist Wahiaw General Hospital, Inc., a not-
        for-profit Hawaii corporation, or a Hawaii nonprofit
        affilliate of Wahiawa General Hospital, Inc.

 


 
SB 717   RELATING TO SPECIAL PURPOSE REVENUE BONDS   HHS,WAM

        Issues special purpose revenue bonds totaling
        $20,000,000 for assisting North Community Hospital,
        Inc. with financing and refinancing for certain
        projects.

SB 579   MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A DIALYSIS      HHS,WAM
        MACHINE FOR PATIENTS' OF THE HAWAII HEALTH
        SYSTEMS CORPORATION RESIDING ON MOLOKAI.

        Appropriation for a dialysis machine for Molokai
        patients of the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation.

SB 1616  MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR MOLOKAI         HHS,WAM
        GENERAL HOSPITAL

        Appropriates $700,000 for operating costs of Molokai
        General Hospital.

SB 217   MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE HANA        HHS,WAM
        COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER, HEALTH AND
        WELLNESS CENTER

        Appropriates funds for the Hana Health and Wellness
        Center.

SB 838   MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE HANA        HHS,WAM
        COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER

        Appropriates funds for operation of the Hana Community
        Health Center for FY 1999-2000 and 2000-2001.

SB 835   RELATING TO EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES      HHS,WAM

        Requires DOH to integrate emergency aeromedical
        services into statewide emergency medical services;
        and establishes emergency aeromedical information
        system and quality improvement committee.

SB 225   RELATING TO AMBULANCE SERVICES              HHS,WAM

        Appropriates funds for 24-hour advanced emergency
        ambulance services for the upcountry area of Maui for
        FY 1999-2000.

SB 489   MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE BIG ISLAND   HHS,WAM
        AEROMEDICAL UNIT

        Appropriates $625,604 for FY 1999-2000 for the Big
        Island aeromedical unit to operate 24 hours a day.

SB 493   APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO REIMBURSE THE HAWAII  HHS,WAM
        COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT FOR PROVISION OF 

 
        EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES

        Appropriates $320,536 to reimburse the Hawaii County
        Fire Department for emergency medical services

SB 1504  MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL  HHS,WAM
        SERVICES

        Appropriates funds for emergency medical services to
        the Makakilo-Kapolei area, the Greater Honolulu area,
        the Kahaluu-Kaaawa area, and the Nanakuli area.

SB 1473  MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A TWENTY-FOUR   HHS,WAM
        HOUR QUICK RESPONSE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES 
        UNIT FOR MAKAKILO-KAPOLEI

        Appropriates funds for two year operating budget for a
        24-hour quick response unit for Makakilo-Kapolei.

SB 102   RELATING TO HEALTH                          HHS,WAM

        Establishes a statewide rural health plan; creates
        rural health special fund; creates a position of rural
        transportation coordinator under state department of
        transportation.

SB 103   APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO IMPLEMENT THE KA'U   HHS,WAM
        RURAL HEALTH PLAN

        Appropriates (blank sum) for FY 1999-2000 and (blank
        sum) for FY 2000-2001 to fund the Ka'u rural health
        plan:  (1) Ka'u Hospital emergency room; (2) CPR/first
        aid demonstration project; (3) transportation
        coordinator.

SB 822   RELATING TO HEALTH INSURANCE                HHS,CPN

        Requires all health insurers, mutual benefit
        societies, and health maintenance organizations to
        cease excluding contraceptive services and supplies
        from coverage by repealing the provision of such
        coverage as an employer option.

SB 818   RELATING TO HEALTH INSURANCE                HHS,CPN

        Changes coverage for biennial mammorgrams for women
        aged 40 to 49 to annual mammograms for all women aged
        40 and older.

SB 837   RELATING TO MANAGED HEALTH CARE             HHS,CPN

        Requires managed health care plans that include
        dermatological coverage to reimburse the plan
        participant or pay the provider regardless of whether
        a referral or authorization has been obtained prior to
        the delivery of services.

SB 844   RELATING TO HEALTH INSURANCE                HHS,CPN


 
        Requires health insurers to equitably reimburse for
        mental health, alcohol, and drug treatment.

SB 47   RELATING TO TAXATION                        HHS,WAM

        Addresses the taxation of certain medical services by

SB 1547  RELATING TO TAXES                           HHS,WAM

        Provides (blank percentage) for an increase of liquor
        and cigarette taxes to be dedicated to the purchase of
        medical equipment for Hawaii Health Systems
        Corporation's health facilities and supporting early
        childhood development programs.

SB 825   RELATING TO BREASTFEEDING                   HHS,WAM

        Promotes the practice of breastfeeding in public
        accomodations and places of work.

SB 1625  RELATING TO HEALTH CARE COMMUNITIES         HHS,WAM

        Authorizes the Housing and Community Development
        Corporation of Hawaii to work in partnership with
        private sector entities to develop health care
        communities in the State.  Establishes a health care
        community revolving fund to make loans to businesses
        for the construction of the health care community.

SB 893   RELATING TO MENTAL HEALTH                   HHS,JDC

        Amends procedures relating to court orders for
        emergency examination and hospitalization.

testimony with two holes punched at the top to the committee
