HB1017 HD1 RELATING TO THE HOUSING LOAN AND MORTGAGE   GOH, WAM
PROP SD1 PROGRAM
        Enables the Housing and Community development
        Corporation of Hawaii to issue an additional
        $500,000,000 in tax-exempt revenue bonds for 
        the Hula Mae single family mortgage purchase program;
        require financial institutions to refinance or 
        restructure a mortgage loan if the current market
        interest is one and one-half percent lower or the
        home owner becomes unemployed or under employed; 
        prohibits foreclosure as long as first mortgage is
        current; issue bonds for repair and maintenance of
        public housing; issue bonds for the rental housing
        trust fund.


HB1018 HD2 RELATING TO THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY      GOH, WAM
PROP SD1 DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION OF HAWAII
        Establishes the Rent Supplement Program for very
        low income families; increases subsidy to thirty
        percent; defines qualified tenant; establishes
        Federally Assisted Rental Housing Preservation
        Program; 1 year notice by owners of HUD assisted
        housing who decide to terminate; provides for
        purchase by tenant group or nonprofit corporation.


HB1026 HD1 RELATING TO INSURANCE PREMIUM TAXES        GOH, WAM
        Allows insurance companies to participate in
        the low income housing tax credit program. 


HB 1017 HD1 Proposed SD1 and HB 1018 HD2 proposed SD1 shall be
available on Monday, March 15,1999 in room 220.

 
        DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW, IF TIME PERMITS.

of their testimony with two holes punched at the top to the
committee clerk, Room 220, State Capitol, 24 hours prior to the

prior to the hearing.  When faxing, please indicate to whom the
testimony is being submitted, the date and time of the hearing,
and the required number of copies needed for submittal.

interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for
the disabled), please contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior
to the hearing so arrangements can be made.
