SB 1256 SD2 HD1    RELATING TO AN INTERISLAND FERRY SYSTEM. (TRN,FIN)
HSCR 1162          Appropriates a blank amount of special funds for an interisland
                ferry system between Maui and Molokai.


SB 663 SD1 HD1     RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE REGISTRATIONS. (TRN,FIN)
HSCR 1244          Extends time period for new motor vehicle registrations.


SB 664 SD1 HD1     RELATING TO SPECIAL NUMBER PLATES. (TRN,FIN)
HSCR 1245          Allows the director of finance to discard and allow for new
                applications of inactive special number plates that have not been
                assigned or registered during the preceding 3 years.


SB 709 SD1 HD1     RELATING TO TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT. (TRN,FIN)
HSCR 1246          Amends the photo red light imaging and photo speed imaging
                detector demonstration project by including other photo technology
                systems to improve traffic enforcement and reduce traffic
                congestion by producing photographic identification of a vehicle
                which crosses longitudinal traffic lane markings.


SB 1250 SD1 HD1    RELATING TO SCHOOL BUSES. (TRN/EDN,FIN)
HSCR 1320          Allows the use of motor coaches for the transportation of high
                school student groups to and from school related events or
                activities.


SB 207 HD1         RELATING TO WASTEWATER. (EEP,FIN)
HSCR 1343          Creates a special fund for the board of certification to certify
                individuals to operate wastewater treatment plants.  (SB207 HD1)

SB 953 SD2 HD1     RELATING TO NATURAL AND CULTURAL RESOURCES. (EEP,FIN)
HSCR 1353          Among other things, establishes the stewardship and partnering
                program within OEQC to be headed by an administrator; requires
                OEQC to assist the program; specifies that moneys from the
                environmental special fund shall be used by the program; makes an
                appropriation to the fund.

SB 1607 SD2 HD1    RELATING TO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND PRIVATE INVESTMENT
HSCR 1423          ATTRACTION. (EDB,FIN)
                Appropriates unspecified amount to the Hawaii strategic
                development corporation revolving fund; restricts HSDC investments
                to those with at least matching private investment; requires
                venture capital investments of employees' retirement system funds
                in qualified high tech businesses.


SB 1325 SD1 HD1    RELATING TO TAXATION. (TSM/EDB,FIN)
HSCR 1420          Establishes a qualified improvement tax credit for capitalized
                costs of construction and equipment of a permanent nature. Spreads
                impact fees related to qualified projects over a seven-year
                period.


SB 1178 SD2 HD1    RELATING TO THE GENERAL EXCISE TAXATION OF RELATED ENTITIES.
HSCR 1427          (EDB,FIN)
                Clarifies the definition of "related entities" for purposes of the
                general excise tax.


SB 716             RELATING TO THE NATURAL ENERGY LABORATORY. (EDB/TSM,FIN)
HSCR 1154          Authorizes the natural energy laboratory to include retail and
                commercial activities within a research and technology park.
