SB 102 SD3 HD1     RELATING TO HEALTH.
HSCR 1399          Implement the recommendations of the Department of Health to
                improve the provision of adequate health care services and public
                transportation for rural communities; establish a cost recovery
                mechanism in accordance with FCC order so that the citizens of
                Hawaii who use commercial mobile radio service will realize the
                benefits of wireless enhanced 911 service. (HLT,FIN)


SB 178             MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR HEALTHY START.
HSCR 1166          Appropriate $           for Healthy Start program. (HLT,FIN)


SB 717             RELATING TO SPECIAL PURPOSE REVENUE BONDS.
HSCR 1169          Authorizes the issuance of special purpose revenue bonds to assist
                North Community Hospital, Inc. with financing and refinancing of
                certain projects. (HLT,FIN)


SB 200 HD1         RELATING TO SPECIAL PURPOSE REVENUE BONDS FOR THE EWA VILLAGES
HSCR 1172          COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION.
                Authorizes the issuance of special purpose revenue bonds for an
                intergenerational care center at Ewa Villages. (HLT,FIN)


SB 788 SD2 HD1     RELATING TO TAXATION.
HSCR 1259          Provides that the excise tax on cigarettes shall be imposed by
                affixing stamps to cigarette packages.  Includes provisions for
                civil and criminal penalties, and for forfeitures of cigarettes.
                Repeals the law in 2005 if the legislative auditor finds that the
                law has not reduced the loss of tax revenue due to the illegal
                sale of untaxed cigarettes by the 2005 regular session. (HLT,FIN)


SB 836 SD1         RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE OF SPECIAL PURPOSE REVENUE BONDS FOR
HSCR 1170          KUAKINI MEDICAL CENTER.
                Authorizes the issuance of special purpose revenue bonds for
                Kuakini Medical Center. (HLT,FIN)


SB 844 SD2 HD2     RELATING TO HEALTH INSURANCE.
HSCR 1432          Establishes a Hawaii Equal Insurance Task Force to study the
                financial and social implications of mandated equal mental health
                and substance abuse insurance coverage in Hawaii. (HLT,CPC,FIN)

SB 851 SD2 HD1     RELATING TO HEALTH CARE.
HSCR 1368          Authorizes the department of health to license hospice service
                agencies and to allow hospice homes with five or fewer beds in
                residential areas. (HLT,CPC,FIN)


SB 1026            RELATING TO THE TRAINING OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES PERSONNEL.
HSCR 1165          Authorize the Department of Health to approve the curricula and
                syllabi of training courses for basic, intermediate, and advanced
                life support emergency ambulance personnel. (HLT,FIN)


SB 1034 SD1 HD1    RELATING TO THE HAWAII TOBACCO SETTLEMENT SPECIAL FUND.
HSCR 1258          Creates a Hawaii Tobacco Settlement Special Fund. (HLT,FIN)


SB 1036 SD3 HD1    RELATING TO PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES.
HSCR 1199          Establishes a disability and communication access board (board).
                Repeals the Hawaii state coordinating council on deafness, the
                commission on persons with disabilities, and the architectural
                access committee and consolidates these agencies under the board.

SB 1127 SD1 HD2    RELATING TO INSURANCE.
HSCR 1373          Establishes a Health Insurance Revolving Fund, funded by
                assessments on entities providing or offering health benefits or
                services regulated by the Insurance Commissioner, for the purpose
                of supporting Commissioner regulation of health insurance.

SB 1128 SD2 HD1    RELATING TO INSURANCE.
HSCR 1402          Increases fines for violations of the insurance statutes and rules
                and clarifies the licensing provisions for fraternal benefit
                society agents. (HLT,CPC,FIN)


SB 1130 SD1 HD1    RELATING TO HEALTH MAINTENANCE ORGANIZATIONS.
HSCR 1369          Requires a quarterly filing for HMOs and provides for a penalty
                for failure to comply. (HLT,CPC,FIN)


SB 1136 SD2 HD1    RELATING TO REGULATION OF OSTEOPATHY.
HSCR 1370          Abolishes the Board of Osteopathic Examiners and transfers
                regulatory function to the Board of Medical Examiners.  Requires 2
                members of the Board of Medical Examiners to be osteopathic
                physicians. (HLT,CPC,FIN)


SB 1452 HD2        RELATING TO HEALTH.
HSCR 1403          Implements the recommendations of the Patient Rights and
                Responsibilities task force.(HLT,CPC,FIN)


SB 1504 SD1 HD1    MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES.
HSCR 1168          Appropriates funds for emergency medical services to the Greater
                Honolulu area, the Makakilo-Kapolei area, the Kahaluu-Kaaawa area,
                and the Waianae-Nanakuli area. (HLT,FIN)


SB 1542            AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF SPECIAL PURPOSE REVENUE BONDS FOR
HSCR 1173          NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATIONS THAT PROVIDE HEALTH CARE FACILITIES.
                Authorizes issuance of Special Purpose Revenue Bonds for a senior
                citizen lifecare retirement community. (HLT,FIN)
