SB 1326            RELATING TO LENDER EXEMPTIONS.
HSCR 1219          Relieve foreign lenders of certain licensing, registration, and
                regulatory requirements presently imposed by law. (CPC,FIN)


SB 1144 SD1 HD1    RELATING TO FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS.
HSCR 1224          Allocate a percentage of revenues and amounts received from
                financial institutions under the franchise tax law, to be credited
                to the Financial Institution Examiners' Revolving Fund. (CPC,FIN)


SB 1139 SD1 HD1    RELATING TO LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANIES.
HSCR 1223          Along with housekeeping and other amendments, amends the Hawaii
                Limited Liability Company Act, Chapter 428, HRS, to conform with
                amendments made to the Uniform Limited Liability Company Act.

SB 238 SD1 HD1     RELATING TO REAL ESTATE BROKERS AND SALESPERSONS.
HSCR 1346          Streamlines and provides flexibility in the process of real estate
                licensing.  Deregulates the real estate broker business and real
                estate continuing education instructor certification.  Authorizes
                limited liability companies to register as condominium hotel
                operators. (CPC,FIN)


SB 20 SD1 HD1      RELATING TO REAL ESTATE BROKERS AND SALESPERSONS.
HSCR 1220          Codifies real estate brokers' responsibilities including
                continuing education of associated real estate licensees and
                staff.  Combines existing real estate continuing education
                provisions into a single section and mandates that continuing
                education be based on current information, law, and rules.

SB 1018 SD1 HD1    RELATING TO THE DRUG FORMULARY.
HSCR 1221          Permitting the Board of Health to designate the Orange Book,
                published by the FDA, as the state generic drug formulary.

SB 1021 HD1        RELATING TO CLINICAL LABORATORY PERSONNEL.
HSCR 1401          Clarifies the clinical laboratory personnel licensing provisions
                of section 321-13, Hawaii Revised Statutes. (CPC,FIN)

SB 1238 SD2 HD1    RELATING TO PROFESSIONS AND VOCATIONS.
HSCR 1375          Repeals regulation of real estate collection servicing agents.
                Requests an auditor's sunset review of barbers, beauty culture,
                and speech pathology and audiology regulatory programs.  Requests
                the LRB study the fairness of the dental licensing examination.

SB 1261 SD1 HD1    RELATING TO CAPTIVE INSURANCE.
HSCR 1348          Authorizes the insurance commissioner to adopt administrative
                rules establishing fees for captive insurance companies.(CPC,FIN)


SB 822 SD2 HD1     RELATING TO HEALTH INSURANCE.
HSCR 1429          Requires all health insurers, mutual benefit societies, and health
                maintenance organizations to cease excluding contraceptive
                services and supplies from coverage by repealing the provision of
                such coverage as an employer option; exempts certain employers
                from providing coverage for contraceptive health care services and
                supplies that are contrary to the employer's religious tenets.

SB 528 SD2 HD1     RELATING TO HEALTH INSURANCE.
HSCR 1400          Exempts health insurance offered under federally funded programs
                under the Social Security Act, as amended, by insurers, mutual
                benefit societies, and health maintenance organizations, from
                mandated coverage requirements. (CPC,FIN)


SB 830 SD1 HD1     RELATING TO HEALTH INSURANCE REIMBURSEMENT.
HSCR 1430          Requires health insurers, mutual benefit societies, and health
                maintenance organizations to reimburse providers and patients
                within a specified time period. (CPC,FIN)


SB 1131 SD1 HD1    RELATING TO INSURANCE.
HSCR 1347          Increases the mandatory insurer contribution to the insurance
                examiners revolving fund, from $550 to $800.  Repeals sunset
                provisions of fund and of other National Association of Insurance
                Commission's accreditation requirements. (CPC,FIN)


SB 1129 SD2 HD1    RELATING TO INSURANCE.
HSCR 1431          Requires continuing education for insurance agents as a
                prerequisite for license renewal.  Creates insurance licensing
                administration special fund and increases fees.  Consolidates most
                of Insurance Division funds into Insurance Regulation Special Fund
                to be used to administer Title 24 insurance laws.  Exempts HEMIC
                from levy of insurers based on percentage of gross workers
                compensation insurance premiums, up to first $25,000,000 each

SB 1145 SD2 HD1    RELATING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AND CONSUMER AFFAIRS.

 
HSCR 1225          Combines most of DCCA special and revolving funds into compliance
                resolution fund, to be managed at a department-wide level to fund
                DCCA operations, and that would not be subject to central service,
                administrative expense reimbursement, or other general fund
                deductions or reversions. (CPC,FIN)

SB 949 SD1 HD1     RELATING TO THE UNIFORM UNINCORPORATED NONPROFIT ASSOCIATION.
HSCR 1397          Adopts the Uniform Unincorporated Nonprofit Association Act.
                Gives entity separate identity from members for purposes of
                transfer of real property, liability in contract and tort, and
                legal standing. (EDB,CPC/JHA,FIN)


SB 1142 SD2 HD1    RELATING TO THE NAMES OF CORPORATIONS, PARTNERSHIPS, AND LIMITED
HSCR 1352          LIABILITY COMPANIES.
                Enables corporations, partnerships, and limited liability
                companies to seek administrative relief against other entities
                that have registered or are using a name that is substantially
                identical or confusingly similar. (EDB,CPC,FIN)


SB 1140 SD2 HD1    RELATING TO BUSINESS REGISTRATION.
HSCR 1351          Makes housekeeping amendments to chapters 415 and 415B, Hawaii
                Revised Statutes, by clarifying and updating statutes governing
                business registration. (EDB,CPC,FIN)
