HSCR 509      Allows nonresident aliens to bring firearms into the State under

HB 1403       RELATING TO HUNTING.
HSCR 418      Establishes hunting advisory council chapters on each island. (WLU,FIN)

HB 797 HD2    RELATING TO OUTDOOR RECREATION.
HSCR 566      Allows for hunting of game birds by residents of foreign countries
           under certain circumstances. (WLU,FIN)

HB 1172 HD1   RELATING TO THE BUREAU OF CONVEYANCES.
HSCR 413      Authorizes the deposit of a portion of recording and other collected
           fees into the Bureau of Conveyances Special Fund and establishes the
           Bureau of Conveyances Special Fund. (WLU,FIN)

HB 1703       RELATING TO WAIMANALO.
HSCR 308      Extends sunset date of Act 257, Session Laws of Hawaii 1996. (WLU,FIN)

HB 706 HD2    RELATING TO HOMESTEAD LEASES.
HSCR 510      Suspends the succession provision of homestead leases under mortgage,
           for the duration of the loan. (WLU,JHA,FIN)

HB 1183 HD1   RELATING TO BEACH LANDS.
HSCR 247      Authorize beach restoration, create beach restoration special fund,
           appropriate funds. (WLU/OMR,FIN)

HB 796 HD2    RELATING TO PUBLIC LANDS.
HSCR 467      Provides additional security to lenders on land or interest covered by
           a lease, patent, license, agreement or other instrument.  Provides
           flexibility to the Department of Land and Natural Resources to assign
           or transfer leases based on current industry standards. (WLU,FIN)

HB 1282       RELATING TO THE HONOKAA-PAAULIO IRRIGATION DISTRICT.
HSCR 309      Authorizes the Department of Agriculture to establish water tolls to
           cover the cost of running the Honokaa-Paaulio Irrigation District.

HB 179 HD1    RELATING TO AGRICULTURAL LANDS.
HSCR 462      Creates the State of Hawaii important agricultural lands commission
           comprising thirteen members to identify and map prime agricultural
           lands, unique lands, and other important agricultural lands.

HSCR 248      Allows land use commission to charge for court reporter expenses and
           other expenses to be determined by the commission. (WLU,FIN)

HB 178 HD1    RELATING TO LAND USE.
HSCR 144      Creates an 11-member land use planning task force. (WLU/EEP,FIN)

HB 424 HD1    RELATING TO FOREST RESERVES.
HSCR 178      Provides forest stewardship fund  for reforestation and maintenance of
           harvested plantation areas; enhancement of public forest reserves; and
           development of environmental education and training programs for the
           public. (WLU,FIN)

HB 423 HD1    MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO MATCH FEDERAL FUNDS FOR THE HAWAII FORESTRY
HSCR 177      AND COMMUNITIES INITIATIVE.
           Appropriates $1 for Hawaii forestry and communities initiative.
