HB 1686       RELATING TO THE OFFICE OF OMBUDSMAN.
HSCR 172      Appropriates $137,000 to the Office of Ombudsman for replacement of
           non-year-2000-compliant equipment and software. (LMG,FIN)

HB 1562 HD1   RELATING TO GOVERNMENT EXPENSES.
HSCR 169      Appropriates funds to pay the State's dues with the Council of State
           Governments. (LMG,FIN)

HB 148        MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE OFFICE OF THE LEGISLATIVE ANALYST.
HSCR 167      Appropriates funds for the office of the legislative analyst. (LMG,FIN)

HB 1436 HD1   RELATING TO LEGISLATIVE FISCAL AND BUDGET ANALYSIS.
HSCR 168      Transfers the function of analyzing and assessing the impact of
           proposed special and revolving funds from the auditor to the
           legislative analyst.  Requires the auditor to keep performing this
           function until such time as the office of the legislative analyst is
           funded and operational. (LMG,FIN)

HB 316 HD1    RELATING TO ARTS EDUCATION.
HSCR 424      Makes an appropriation to develop a strategic plan to fully implement
           the fine arts content and performance standards for all Hawaii students
           in grades K-12. (CAR,EDN,FIN)

HB 1749 HD1   RELATING TO GEOGRAPHY EDUCATION.
HSCR 222      Appropriates funds to the geography department of the College of Social
           Sciences of the University of Hawaii to implement a geography education
           training and staff development program for public school teachers based
           on national geographic standards, beginning as a pilot project within
           the Kailua Complex schools. (EDN/HED,FIN)

HB 531        RELATING TO CORRECTIONS.
HSCR 42       Makes an appropriation for the expansion of the KASHBOX drug
           rehabilitation program to ensure equal access for both male and female
           prisoners. (PSM,FIN)

HB 789 HD1    MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE KASHBOX PROGRAM.
HSCR 368      Appropriates funds to continue the KASHBOX substance abuse treatment
           program.  Appropriates funds to expand Ho`omana substance abuse program
           for women. (PSM,FIN)

HB 440 HD2    RELATING TO CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES.
HSCR 380      Allows the Narcotics Enforcement Division to share prescription
           information, gathered by the Electronic Prescription Monitoring
           Program, with practitioners authorized to prescribe or dispense
           controlled substances.  Appropriates funds from the controlled
           substance registration revolving fund for one full-time data processing
           systems analyst position to carry out this task. (PSM,CPC,FIN)

HB 1460 HD1   MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE EXPANSION OF THE VIDEO ARRAIGNMENT AND
HSCR 391      CONFERENCING SYSTEM. Appropriates funds over the 1999-2001 fiscal
           biennium for the expansion of a video arraignment and conferencing
           system in the circuit court of the third circuit and the Halawa
           correctional facility. (PSM/JHA,FIN)
