HB 1037       MAKING AN EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION FOR THE UNCLAIMED PROPERTY PROGRAM.
HSCR 528      Appropriate additional funds in fiscal year 1998-99 to pay judgments
           and claims under the Unclaimed Property program. (JHA,FIN)

HB 1454 HD1   RELATING TO FEES.
HSCR 545      Removes fee for application for appointment of special administrator by
           court order; informal probate or appointment proceeding under chapter
           560; and application under chapter 560 for formal testacy proceedings
           or for supervised administration.  Adds $100 fee for domiciliary
           foreign personal representative. (JHA,FIN)

HB 1444       RELATING TO THE DISPOSITION OF NOTARY RECORDS.
HSCR 541      Requires notary public records to be deposited with the attorney
           general rather than the courts. (JHA,FIN)

HB 1690 HD1   RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE DRIVER LICENSING.
HSCR 585      Exempts foreign nationals, foreign students, and diplomatic and
           consular officers from the foreign driver's license surrender and
           invalidation requirements of section 286-102(c).  Establishes procedure
           for temporary surrender of foreign driver's licenses. (JHA,FIN)

HB 992        RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES OF IDENTIFICATION.
HSCR 516      Allow numbers other than social security numbers to be used on State
           issued identification cards, and to change the information appearing on
           these identification cards. (JHA,FIN)

HB 988 HD1    MAKING AN EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION FOR STATE GOVERNMENT TO IMPLEMENT
HSCR 577      YEAR 2000 COMPLIANCE EFFORTS.
           Appropriate additional moneys to allow for the testing, modification,
           and support of the State's computer system for Year 2000 compliance.

HB 1105 HD1   RELATING TO CLAIMS AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT BASED ON YEAR 2000 ERRORS BY
HSCR 578      COMPUTER-BASED SYSTEMS.
           Amend the immunity provisions established by Act 213, Session Laws of
           Hawaii 1998, including the protection afforded to persons affected by a
           year 2000 error generated by a government computer system. (JHA,FIN)

HB 1111 HD1   RELATING TO YEAR 2000 ERRORS BY COMPUTER-BASED SYSTEMS.
HSCR 579      Provide protection for persons who exercise commercially reasonable
           efforts to identify and find solutions for computer-based systems that
           may be affected by Year 2000 errors. (JHA,FIN)

HB 1002 HD1   RELATING TO THE HAWAII PUBLIC PROCUREMENT CODE.
HSCR 532      Exempts contracts for legal services from the requirement of the
           Procurement Code. (JHA,FIN)

HB 161 HD1    RELATING TO SEARCH AND RESCUE COSTS.
HSCR 524      Permits a government attorney to litigate the reimbursement of part or
           all of the costs of a search and rescue operation. (JHA,FIN)

HB 989 HD1    RELATING TO THE RELIEF OF CERTAIN PERSONS' CLAIMS AGAINST THE STATE AND
HSCR 514      PROVIDING APPROPRIATIONS THEREFOR.
           Appropriate funds to pay claims against the State. (JHA,FIN)

HB 1051 HD1   MAKING AN EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION FOR COURT APPOINTED COUNSEL.
HSCR 534      Makes emergency appropriation for expenses for court appointed counsel.

HB 163 HD1    RELATING TO JURORS.
HSCR 525      Increases the fee for jury duty service from $30 to $40 per day.
           Increases the mileage fee for jury duty service from 33 cents to 37
           cents per mile.  Appropriates funds. (JHA,FIN)
