HB 1682       RELATING TO INCOME TAX.
           Requires organizations that file a Form 990 with the Internal Revenue
           Service to file a copy of the form with the department of taxation.
           Appropriates funds to the department of taxation for filing and
           tracking the information contained in Form 990. (FIN)

HB 1198       RELATING TO THE INTEGRATED TAX INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
           ACQUISITION BY THE DEPARTMENT OF TAXATION.
           Create a special fund to pay for the integrated tax information
           management system, and for the operation, maintenance, monitoring, and
           improvement of the automated tax system. (FIN)

HB 225        RELATING TO GENERAL EXCISE TAXATION.
           Establishes a one time amnesty period for delinquent general excise
           taxpayers, beginning 1/1/00 and ending 3/31/00. (FIN)

HB 1203 HD1   RELATING TO THE COLLECTION OF TAXES.
HSCR 445      Allows collection agencies to recover their collection fees directly
           from a delinquent taxpayer when under contract with the department of
           taxation for the collection of delinquent taxes. (CPC,FIN)

HB 206 HD1    RELATING TO LIQUOR TAX LAW.
HSCR 379      Redefines cooler beverage to mean any liquor containing less than 7 per
           cent of alcohol by volume and blending material. (CPC,FIN)

HB 1692       RELATING TO TAXATION.
           Reduces GET on certain travel agent commissions to 1/2%. (FIN)

HB 1197 HD1   RELATING TO CONFORMITY OF THE HAWAII INCOME TAX LAW TO THE INTERNAL
HSCR 592      REVENUE CODE.
           Conforms Hawaii Income Tax Law to the Internal Revenue Code. (FIN)

HB 136 HD1    RELATING TO TAXATION.
HSCR 393      Provides to each taxpayer or the association of apartment owners of a
           hotel-condo as defined in section 486K-1, an income tax credit for
           improvement costs of qualified facilities within a hotel or resort-
           zoned district. (TSM,FIN)

HB 1681       RELATING TO TAXATION.
HSCR 625      Establishes a qualified improvement tax credit for capitalized costs of
           construction and equipment related to an existing or new facility
           located in Waikiki. (EDB,FIN)

HB 1027       RELATING TO TAX EXEMPTIONS FOR AVIATION TRAINING FACILITIES.
HSCR 468      Stimulate economic development by encouraging the development of
           aviation training facilities in the State. (TRN/EDB,FIN)

HB 1683 HD1   RELATING TO HIGH TECHNOLOGY.
HSCR 722      Establishes a high technology research park at the research park of the
           University of Hawaii at Hilo, and provides incentives to encourage high
           technology businesses, including biotechnology businesses, to locate
           their operations in the high technology research park. (FIN)

HB 81         MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A NANOTECHNOLOGY CENTER.
HSCR 210      Appropriates funds to establish a nanotechnology center at the
           university park at the University of Hawaii at Hilo. (EDB,HED,FIN)

HB 814 HD1    RELATING TO THE ECONOMY.
HSCR 563      Provides a two-year authorization to the governor to provide tax breaks
           and land lease incentives to assist high technology industries that
           provide jobs for the people of Hawaii. (EDB,WLU,FIN)

HB 1025       RELATING TO THE KAKAAKO HIGH TECHNOLOGY ZONE.
HSCR 411      Stimulate economic development by creating a Kakaako high technology
           zone. (WLU,FIN)

HB 718        RELATING TO THE HAWAII COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY.
HSCR 313      Authorizes the Hawaii community development authority to issue bonds
           not to exceed $250,000,000. (WLU,FIN)

HB 753 HD1    RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICTS.
HSCR 392      Allows counties to enact ordinances to create special improvement
           districts to provide and finance supplemental maintenance and security
           services and such other improvements, services, and facilities within
           those districts as the county council finds will promote business
           activity and make and finance improvements. (TSM,FIN)

HB 221 HD1    RELATING TO THE HAWAII TOURISM AUTHORITY.
HSCR 134      Requires the Hawaii tourism authority to submit a long-term policy plan
           to the legislature twenty days before the regular session of 2000, and
           that all future courses of action implement the long-range policy plan
           recommendations. (TSM,FIN)

HB 1014 HD1   RELATING TO TOURISM.
HSCR 236      Sunsets the Hawaii Convention Center Authority on an unspecified date;
           assigns responsibility to market, operate, manage, and maintain the
           Hawaii convention center facility to the Hawaii Tourism Authority;
           transfers the balance of the Hawaii Convention Center Capital and
           Operations Special Funds to the Tourism Special Fund; assigns the
           funding responsibility for the convention center debt service and
           operating requirements to the Hawaii Tourism Authority. (TSM,FIN)
