HB 522 HD2    RELATING TO THE SCHOOL-TO-WORK OPPORTUNITIES PILOT PROJECT.
HSCR 672      Transfers the staff of the school-to-work opportunities pilot project
           from the Hawaii school-to-work opportunities executive council to the
           DOE.  (LAB,EDN,FIN)

HB 486 HD1    RELATING TO BREASTFEEDING.
HSCR 356      Provides a tax credit for businesses that provide a safe and secure
           area for a new mother to breastfeed.  Promotes the practice of
           breastfeeding in places of work.  Requires the State Commission on the
           Status of Women to accumulate, compile and publish information
           regarding breastfeeding discrimination in the workplace. (LAB,FIN)

HB 1166       RELATING TO THE EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING FUND PROGRAM.
HSCR 363      Clarify that the disbursements of the employment and training fund
           (ETF) are exempt from the provisions of chapter 103F, Hawaii Revised
           Statutes. (LAB,FIN)

HB 50         RELATING TO TEMPORARY DISABILITY INSURANCE.
HSCR 192      Bases the qualifications for benefit eligibility on the 52 weeks
           immediately before the first day of disability instead of 4 calendar
           quarters. (LAB,FIN)

HB 1162 HD1   RELATING TO SAFETY.
HSCR 638      Includes amusement rides under the the Boiler & Elevator Revolving Fund
           (Fund).  Raises the civil penalty to $10,000 for each violation.  Makes
           technical amendments to the Boiler & Elevator Revolving Fund for
           clarification. (LAB,FIN)

HB 1165 HD1   RELATING TO THE OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH TRAINING AND ASSISTANCE
HSCR 357      FUND.
           Extends the Occupational Safety and Health Training and Assistance
           Fund.  Includes certification programs to enhance safety and health
           among the uses for the fund. (LAB,FIN)

HB 1042 HD1   RELATING TO THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES HEALTH FUND.
HSCR 361      Permits Hawaii Public Employees Health Fund Board of Trustees to
           contract for more than one type of benefit plan. (LAB,FIN)

HB 1043       RELATING TO THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES HEALTH FUND.
HSCR 238      Change the health fund administrator's civil service position to exempt
           status. (LAB,FIN)

HB 104 HD1    RELATING TO THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES HEALTH FUND.
HSCR 242      Enables the Employer-Union Trust Concept Committee to continue its work
           to proceed with conversion to an employer-union trust concept for
           administering public employee and retiree health benefits. (LAB,FIN)

HB 1044 HD1   RELATING TO HEALTH BENEFITS FOR PART-TIME, TEMPORARY, AND SEASONAL OR
HSCR 395      CASUAL EMPLOYEES.
           Authorize medical, hospital, and surgical benefit plans to part-time,
           temporary, and seasonal or casual employees at the expense of the
           employers after July 1, 2000. (LAB,FIN)

HB 1041 HD1   RELATING TO THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES HEALTH FUND.
HSCR 629      Authorizes the Board of Trustees of the Public Employees Health Fund to
           use reimbursements and rate credits to benefit identifiable employee-
           beneficiaries. (LAB,FIN)

HB 1048 HD1   RELATING TO THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES HEALTH FUND.
HSCR 630      Requires State and county retired employees and their spouses to enroll
           in the federal Medicare Part B insurance program. (LAB,FIN)

HB 1049 HD1   RELATING TO THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES HEALTH FUND.
HSCR 710      Requires employee organizations who participate in the Health Fund's
           benefit plans to return to the Health Fund the approximate employers'
           share of any rate credit or reimbursement from any carrier or self-
           insurance plan including any earnings or interest. Permits the State
           comptroller to audit the records of employee organization plans to
           verify compliance with this requirement. (LAB,FIN)
