SB 813     RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE OF SPECIAL        EEP,CPC,FIN
        PURPOSE REVENUE BONDS TO ASSIST THE GAS
        UTILITY IN SERVING THE GENERAL PUBLIC
        Authorizes the issuance of special purpose revenue
        bonds to assist the gas utility in providing utility
        gas services to the general public; authorizes the
        issuance of refunding special purpose revenue bonds;
        including times subsequent to December 31, 2002.
        (SD2)

SB 30      RELATING TO ENDANGERED SPECIES                 EEP,FIN
        Allows the department of land and natural resources to
        produce a state endangered species ornamental stamp.
        (SD2)

SB 96      RELATING TO ENERGY RESOURCES                   EEP,CPC
        Allows solar devices to be sited for optimal
        efficiency, including a townhouse roof that may be a
        common area within a condominium property regime.

SB 207     RELATING TO WASTEWATER                         EEP,FIN
        Creates a special fund for the board of certification
        to certify individuals to operate wastewater treatment
        plants.



 
SB 1404    RELATING TO WASTEWATER REUSE                   EEP,FIN
        Defines "recycled water" and "reclaimed water" as
        water that by design has been treated at a treatment
        works and is intended for a beneficial purpose. (SD1)

SB 1429    RELATING TO WASTEWATER TREATMENT               EEP,FIN
        FACILITIES                                            
        Excludes from definition of public utility any
        facility that reclaims wastewater provided that the
        sole function of the facility is processing and
        distribution of secondary treated wastewater, the
        facility is not processing food wastes, and the not
        selling water to the residential customers. (SD1)

SB 1024    RELATING TO ENVIRONMENT                    EEP,JHA,FIN
        Brings management practices regarding water pollution,
        domestic sewage, etc., under the water pollution law.
        Allows the DOH to establish a permanent exempt
        position for an ecological risk assessor.  Requires
        the preparation of an EA for actions subject to
        discretionary approval.  (SD3)

SB 737     RELATING TO NOISE                              EEP,JHA
        Exempts small construction projects from the permit
        requirements of the noise pollution law; provided that
        the department of health is notified of the project.
        (SD2)

SB 738     RELATING TO NOISE POLLUTION                    EEP,JHA
        Shortens the allowable period for the permit review
        process for noise pollution permits to 30 days. (SD1)

SB 798     RELATING TO NOISE                              EEP,JHA
        Clarifies jurisdiction regarding noise control. 
        Authorizes the issuance of special purpose revenue
        bonds to assist the gas utility in providing utility
        gas services to the general public; authorizes the
        issuance of refunding special purpose revenue bonds;
        including times subsequent to December 31, 2002.

SB 368     RELATING TO RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY           EEP,HLT,CPC
        OCCUPANCY                                             
        Prohibits the director of health from issuing an air
        pollution control permit for a medical waste
        incinerator or a solid waste pollution permit for a
        medical waste sterilizer that is located within 500
        feet of any residential dwelling. (SD1)



 
 
 
SB 531     RELATING TO ROADSIDE                      EEP,TRN,FIN 
        HERBICIDE USE                                         
        Requires state and county agencies responsible for
        roadside vegetation maintenance to develop and
        implement an integrated vegetation management (IVM)
        strategy to minimize the use of herbicide.
        Establishes a roadside vegetation committee. (SD2)
