HB 93    RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A           EEP,CPC,FIN
      PETROLEUM CONTROL COMMISSION
      Establishes the petroleum control commission in the
      department of business, economic development, and
      tourism to regulate and control petroleum refining and
      sales of petroleum products in the State.  Empowers the
      commission to authorize new retail service stations and
      determine whether they may be operated by a petroleum
      utility; restrict price increases when prices rise above
      a certain percentage over a benchmark market, as
      determined by rules adopted by the commission; decide
      when a utility may convert a station from one operated
      by a dealer to one operated by a utility, and vice
      versa; and decide when a utility may close a station, to
      prevent communities from being underserved.

HB 95    RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES                   EEP,CPC,FIN
      Requires the Public Utilities Commission to establish
      rules ensuring that the cost of fuel for state vehicles
      is based on the mainland rack price.

HB 124   RELATING TO THE PUBLIC UTILITIES             EEP,CPC,FIN
      COMMISSION       
      Requires the public utilities commission to regulate
      petroleum utilities and the gasoline service station
      industry in the State.


 
HR 12    REQUESTING THE GOVERNOR TO DIRECT THE        EEP,CPC    
      ATTORNEY GENERAL TO VIGOROUSLY PURSUE
      CIVIL PROSECUTION OF THE GASOLINE OVER-
      CHARGE CASE, AND TO EXPRESS HOUSE MEMBERS
      SUPPORT FOR THIS EFFORT

HCR 9    REQUESTING THE GOVERNOR TO DIRECT THE        EEP,CPC
      ATTORNEY GENERAL TO VIGOROUSLY PURSUE
      CIVIL PROSECUTION OF THE GASOLINE OVER-
      CHARGE CASE, AND TO EXPRESS HOUSE MEMBERS
      SUPPORT FOR THIS EFFORT

HB 1287  RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE OF SPECIAL PURPOSE  EEP,CPC,FIN
      REVENUE BONDS TO ASSIST THE GAS UTILITY SERVING THE
      GENERAL PUBLIC

HB 392   RELATING TO THE ENVIRONMENT                  EEP,TRN,FIN
      Requires state agencies responsible for roadside
      vegetation maintenance and groundskeeping of public
      facilities to develop and implement an integrated
      vegetation management strategy to minimize the risks of
      pesticides, herbicide, and fungicide us

HB 467   RELATING TO ROADSIDE MAINTENANCE             EEP,TRN,FIN
      Requires state and county agencies responsible for
      roadside vegetation maintenance to adopt an integrated
      vegetation management program that includes the use of
      nonchemical, nonmechanical, and nonmanual methods
      whenever feasible.

HB 469   RELATING TO PESTICIDES                       EEP,TRN,FIN
      Establishes integrated pest management policies to
      prohibit usage of toxicity category I pesticides.

HB 472   RELATING TO HERBICIDE USE                    EEP,FIN    
      Requires all state agencies to use nonchemical methods
      to control vegetation growth in public parks.  Requires
      the department of land and natural resources to:  (1)
      Encourage and assist the counties to join and comply
      with the scheduled ban of herbicide use in public parks;
      (2) Develop and implement a plan for the phased
      reduction of herbicide use in the maintenance of public
      parks; and (3) Submit a report to the legislature prior
      to the 2000 regular session on the progress of the plan.

HB 1362  RELATING TO PESTICIDES                       EEP,CPC,FIN
      Changes the licensee fee for pesticides.  Defines
      "consumer protection health benefit products".

HB 1732  RELATING TO PESTICIDES                       EEP,CPC

 
 
 
      Exempts nontoxic pesticides from state labeling
      regulation.

HB 1137  RELATING TO HEALTH                           EEP,JHA,FIN
      Amends various sections of chapter 321, Hawaii Revised
      Statutes, for housekeeping purposes and adds a new
      license category for environmental health professionals.

HB 1141  RELATING TO ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION         EEP,LAB,FIN  
      Grants the department of health one permanent exempt
      position for assessing ecological risks and damages.
