SB 666   RELATING TO HIGHER EDUCATION               TIA, EDU
        Mandates those required to register with the selective
        service system to do so in order to be eligible for
        admission into any public institution of higher
        education.

SB 1270  RELATING TO EDUCATION                           EDU
        Gives the Department more flexibilty in regulating
        courses of study.

SB 1307  RELATING TO SCHOOL PERFORMANCE                  EDU
        Requires each school to set its own performance
        indicators, including, at a minimum, student test
        scores, school attendance, student dropout rates and
        parental involvement, and to set its own achievement
        goals, known as benchmarks, to improve performance
        over its own previous levels.

SB 1453  RELATING TO HISTORIC PRESERVATION               EDU
        Amends the historic preservation law to provide that
        the intensity of use of historic properties shall be
        in keeping with allowable ranges found in the
        underlying zoning districts.

the hearing. Please punch three (3) holes on the left side of 10
copies and two (2) holes on top of 15 copies of your testimony.
Testimony may also be faxed if less than 5 pages in length, to the
Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at 586-6659 or 1-800-586-6659 (toll
free for neighbor islands), at least 24 hours prior to the hearing.
When faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is being
submitted, the date and time of the hearing, and the required number
of copies needed for submittal.

If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids or services to
participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language
interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for the
disabled), please contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior to the
hearing so arrangements can be made.

Public Folder.  A folder labeled "Public Folder" containing the
measures and testimonies for the hearing will be available for shared
use by members of the public.
