HB1043 HD1  RELATING TO THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES HEALTH FUND   LRE/CPN, WAM
           Exempts the  PEHF  Administration  from state civil
           service laws.   Specifies  that the Administrator's
           salary  be   within   the   range  established  for
           Department   Deputy   Directors.       Allows   the
           Administrator  to  become  a  member  of  the State
           Employee  Retirement  System  and  receive benefits
           from any State or Federal employee benefit program.

held its decision making  on  the  above measure on Monday, March
15, 1999.)

H.B. 1277     RELATING TO WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITIES          LRE, CPN
H.D. 1        Excludes  from  definition  of  public  utility any
           facility that reclaims  wastewater provided that at
           least 10 per  cent  of  the wastewater processed is
           used by a state or county agency.
           (Companion:  S.B. 1429 S.D. 1)

H.B. 1548     RELATING TO WASTEWATER REUSE                              LRE
H.D. 1        Directs the director  of  DOH  to  give priority to
           adopting rules  to  encourage  the  reuse of water.
           Defines "recycled water"  and  "reclaimed water" as
           wastewater that by  design  has  been  treated at a
           treatment works  and  is  intended  or  used  for a
           beneficial purpose.
           (Companion:  S.B. 1404 S.D. 1)

H.B. 1350     RELATING TO THE USE OF RECYCLED OIL                  LRE, GOH
H.D. 1        Requires  the   government   procurement   to  give
           preference  to  recycled  oils  in  the procurement
           process.

S.R. 29       HEALTH IN ESTABLISHING A ROOFING MATERIAL

H.B. 842      RELATING TO GLASS CONTAINER RECOVERIES               LRE, WAM
H.D. 2        Exempts  from  the   advance  disposal  fee,  empty
           imported glass containers designed to hold not more
           than two and  one-half  fluid  ounces  of a product
           meant for human consumption.

H.B. 1165     RELATING TO THE OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND              LRE, WAM
H.D. 2        TRAINING AND ASSISTANCE FUND
           Extends the  life  of  the  occupational safety and
           health  training   and   assistance   fund  (fund).
           Includes certification  programs  to enhance safety
           and health among the uses for the fund.  
           (Companion:  S.B. 1152) 

H.B. 1162     RELATING TO SAFETY                                   LRE, WAM
H.D. 2        Clarifies that amusement rides  are under the scope
           of the Boiler  and  Elevator  Revolving Safety Law.
           Raises  the  civil  penalty  to  $10,000  for  each
           violation.    Makes  technical  amendments  to  the
           Boiler and Elevator Revolving Fund.
           (Companion:  S.B. 1150 S.D. 2)

H.B. 1160     RELATING TO EMPLOYMENT SECURITY APPEALS               LRE,JDC
H.D. 1        Allows Employment Security  Appeals Referee Officer
           to hold a hearing by telephone.
           (Companion:  S.B. 1148)

H.B. 50       RELATING TO TEMPORARY DISABILITY INSURANCE           LRE, WAM
           Bases the qualification  for benefit eligibility on
           the 52 weeks  immediately  before  the first day of
           disability instead of 4 calendar quarters.
