S.B. 368      RELATING TO RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY OCCUPANCY                LRE
           Prohibits the director  of  health  from issuing an
           air pollution control  permit  for  a medical waste
           incinerator or a solid waste pollution permit for a
           medical waste sterilizer  that  is located within 1
           mile of any residential dwelling.

                    (Deferred from March 2, 1999)

S.B. 1231     RELATING TO SMOKING IN THE WORKPLACE                 HHS, LRE
           Requires employers with 5 or more employees to adopt a
           smoking policy to accommodate both smoking and nonsmoking
           employees.  This requirement does not apply to the dining
           areas of restaurants, bars, and hotel guest rooms.  In
           addition, prohibits smoking in state workplaces.
