HB 1497       RELATING TO SENTENCING                                    JDC
HD1           Imposes enhanced sentence of life imprisonment without
(SB 929)      possibility of parole for murder in the 2nd degree in certain
           circumstances.

HB 997        RELATING TO MONEY LAUNDERING                              JDC
HD1           Creates a class C felony offense for persons engaged
(SB 1112)     in money laundering amounts less than $10,000 but greater
           than $8,000. 

HB 999        RELATING TO ORGANIZED CRIME                               JDC
HD1           Amends the elements and penalty for the felony charge
(SB 1114)     of failing to report income derived from racketeering
           activity. 

HB 955        RELATING TO CRIME                                         JDC
HD1           Makes it a class C felony to take sexual photographs
Proposed      or videotapes of a person without consent and when the
SD1           person expects privacy.  Makes it a misdemeanor to possess
           such materials.

HB 4          RELATING TO POLICE ROADBLOCK PROGRAMS                TIA, JDC
SD1           Provides that failure to comply scrupulously with
(SB 674       police procedures that exceed the minimum statutory
SD2)          roadblock requirements will not invalidate a roadblock that
           otherwise meets the minimum statutory criteria.

HB 161        RELATING TO SEARCH AND RESCUE COSTS                  TIA, JDC
SD1           Permits a government attorney to litigate the reimbursement
           of part or all of the costs of a search and rescue operation. 

HB 1          RELATING TO CHILD PASSENGER SAFETY                   TIA, JDC
SD1           Requires child under four years old instead of under
(SB 162       three years old to be properly restrained in child
SD1)          passenger restraint system.  Deletes language in HRS that
           allows child three years old or older to be restrained in a
           seat belt assembly.


 
HB 715        RELATING TO REGISTRATION OF VEHICLES                 TIA, JDC
(SB 685       Eliminates the requirement that a county provide the
SD1)          legally correct form to record ownership of a vehicle by two
           or more persons that is not owned in joint tenancy.
