SB 1104       RELATING TO THE RELIEF OF CERTAIN PERSONS'           JDC, WAM
           CLAIMS AGAINST THE STATE AND PROVIDING 
           APPROPRITATIONS THEREFOR
           Appropriates funds to  provide  for  the payment of
           claims against the State  for refunds of taxes, for
           judgements   and   settlements,   and   for   other
           miscellaneous payments.

SB 1106       RELATING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF THE ATTORNEY           JDC, WAM
           GENERAL
           Proposes to permit  the  Attorney General to charge
           fees for  the  collection  of  moneys  due to State
           agencies and to  create  a  special fund, the Civil
           Recoveries  Special  Fund,   into  which  collected
           moneys will be deposited.

SB 1108       RELATING TO STATE JUDGEMENT LIENS                    JDC, WAM
           Authorizes the registration of a judgement in favor
           of the State  to  affect  real estate registered in
           the Bureau of Conveyances.

SB 1110       RELATING TO ATTORNEYS' FEES                          JDC, WAM
           Protects  the   State's   sovereign   immunity  and
           expressly  prohibits  attorneys'  fees  from  being
           awarded against the State and counties.

SB 1297       MAKING AN EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION FOR COURT          JDC, WAM
           APPOINTED COUNSEL
           Appropriates additional funds  in fiscal year 1998-
           99 to pay for court appointed counsel expenses.

SB 1267       RELATING TO ANTITRUST                                JDC, WAM
           Clarifies  the  types   of   damages  that  may  be
           recovered in  antitrust  actions  initiated  by the
           Attorney General.

SB 898        RELATING TO THE DISPOSITION OF NOTARY RECORDS             JDC

 
           Requires notary public records to be deposited with

SB 1107       RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES                  JDC
           OF IDENTIFICATION
           Removes  the  requirement  of  displaying  specific
           mandatory fields on  the state identification card,
           such as  the  social  security  number, issue date,
           attorney  general's   signature,   and  registrar's
           signature.

SB 1003       RELATING TO CHILD SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT                     JDC
           Allows a parent  who  does  not  contest his or her
           child  support  obligations  and  who  is  in  good
           standing with the parent's  payments  to opt out of
           the  child   support   enforcement  agency  payment
           system.
