SB 223        RELATING TO A CANINE CORPS IN THE                    JDC, WAM
           DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY
           Requires the establishment of a canine corps in the
           Department of Public Safety.

SB 827        RELATING TO CORRECTIONS                              JDC, WAM
           Makes an  appropriation  for  the  expansion of the
           KASHBOX drug rehabilitation program to ensure equal
           access for both male and female prisoners.

SB 1163       RELATING TO THE RELEASE OF PRE-TRIAL                 JDC, WAM
           INMATES
           Extends the authority to grant emergency release of
           pre-trial inmates until June 30, 2000.

SB 1158       MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR COMPENSATION             JDC, WAM
           OF CRIME VICTIMS
           Appropriates  funds   ($1,127,025)   to  compensate
           persons and  their  service  providers  who will be
           awarded compensation during the period from July 1,
           1999 to June 30, 2000.

SB 1159       RELATING TO CRIME VICTIM COMPENSATION                JDC, WAM
           Provides and maintains support for the Crime Victim
           Compensation Commission.

SB 193        RELATING TO CRIME                                    JDC, WAM
           Transfers the crime  victim compensation commission
           from within the department  of public safety to the
           department of the attorney general.

SB 715        RELATING TO ANIMALS                                       JDC
           Includes in the offense  of reckless endangering in
           the second degree the failure to confine or destroy
           an animal  that  has  caused  personal  or property
           damage.

SB 1389       RELATING TO ARSON                                         JDC
           Separates  arson  from  the  offenses  of  criminal
           property damage.

SB 1421       RELATING TO TAXATION                                      JDC
           Allows probation as  an  option  for sentencing for
           income tax offenses.
