SB 480     RELATING TO MEASUREMENT STANDARDS             ECD, CPN
        Provides additional labeling requirements for
        macadamia nuts.  (INOUYE/CHUMBLEY/BUEN/MATSUURA/LEVIN)

SB 837     RELATING TO MANAGED HEALTH CARE               HHS, CPN
        Requires managed health care plans that include
        dermatological coverage to reimburse the plan
        participant or pay the provider regardless of whether
        a referral or authorization has been obtained prior to
        the delivery of services.  (CHUN OAKLAND)

SB 844     RELATING TO HEALTH INSURANCE                  HHS, CPN
SD 1       Requires health insurers to equitably reimburse for
        mental health, alcohol, and drug treatment.  (CHUN
        OAKLAND/KANNO; Levin)

SB 136     RELATING TO GENETIC INFORMATION               HHS, CPN
SD 1       Defines "genetic testing."  Prohibits long-term care
        insurer from requiring genetic testing as pre-
        condition for coverage and underwriting policy based
        on genetic information unless based on actuarial
        principles.  (CHUN-OAKLAND)

SB 675     RELATING TO CONTRACTOR'S LICENSES             TIA, CPN
        Requires a state contracting licnese for federal
        construction projects in Hawaii to the extent allowed
        under federal law.  (KAWAMOTO)

 
SB 779     RELATING TO DENTAL HYGIENISTS                 HHS, CPN
SD 1       Establishes the educational requirements for the
        administration of local anesthesia by dental
        hygienists.  Establishes documentation required for
        dental board certification of a hygienist to
        administer anesthesia; allows Board of Dental
        Examiners to adopt rules for educational requirements
        for anesthesia.  (TANIGUCHI)

SB 1557    RELATING TO MOTOR CARRIERS                    TIA, CPN
        Permits the visual monitoring of storm water runoff by
        motor carriers required to monitor by law. (KAWAMOTO)

least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  When faxing, please
indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and
time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for
submittal.

interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for
