SB 513   RELATING TO FAMILY CHILD CARE               HHS,CPN
SD1     Includes condominiums,  apartments,  and townhouses as
        types of residences eligible to  be used as child care
        homes; clarifies duties and  rights between child care
        home and association of apartment owners.  (SD1)

SB 665   RELATING TO MOTORCYCLE INSURANCE            TIA,CPN
SD1     Includes  course  approved  by  armed  services branch
        installation  commander  and   that  meets  motorcycle
        safety foundation standards  as a motorcycle education
        course  for  purposes  of  qualifying  for  motorcycle
        liability coverage.  (SD1)

SB 818   RELATING TO HEALTH INSURANCE                HHS,CPN
SD1     Clarifies health insurance coverage for mammograms for
        women forty years old and older, instead of forty nine
        years.  (SD1)

SB 822   RELATING TO HEALTH INSURANCE                HHS,CPN
SD1     Requires   all   health   insurers,   mutual   benefit
        societies,  and  health  maintenance  organizations to
        cease excluding  contraceptive  services  and supplies
        from  coverage  by  repealing  the  provision  of such
        coverage as an employer option.  (SD1)

SB 973   RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE TOWING            TIA,CPN
SD1     Requires towing businesses  to have insurance coverage
        for towed motor vehicles during towing and storage and
        to properly  identify  their  towing vehicles; repeals
        drop-dead provision of Act  138, SLH 1998; allows suit
        against  the  towing  company  without  insurance  for

 
                  $1,000, or three-fold  damages  suffered, whichever is
                  greater.  (SD1)

       Persons wishing to  testify  should  submit 25 copies (three-hole
       punched) of their  testimony  to  the  committee clerk, Room 414,
       State Capitol, 24 hours prior  to the hearing. Testimony may also
       be faxed if less than 5  pages in length, to the Senate Sergeant-
       At-Arms Office  at  586-6659  or  1-800-586-6659  (toll  free for
       neighbor islands), at least 24 hours  prior to the hearing.  When
       faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted,
       the date and time  of  the  hearing,  and  the required number of
       copies needed for submittal.
       
       If you require special  assistance  or auxiliary aids or services
       to participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language
       interpreter, wheelchair accessibility,  or parking designated for
       the disabled), please contact the  committee clerk 24 hours prior
       to the hearing so arrangements can be made.
