SB 1461    RELATING TO NURSES                                 CPN
        Authorized the practice of psychotherapy by qualified
        advanced practice registered nurses.

SB 509     RELATING TO DIETITIANS                         CPN,WAM
        Establishes dietitian licensing program in DCCA.

SB 510     RELATING TO DIETITIANS                         CPN,WAM
        Establishes licensure of physician assistants in place
        of certification.  (KANNO)

SB 40      RELATING TO PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS                   CPN
        Establishes licensure of physicians assistants in
        place of certification.  (MIZUGUCHI)

SB 1460    RELATING TO CERTIFIED SUBSTANCE ABUSE STAFF        CPN
        Adds to definition of "certified substance abuse
        staff" psychologists who hold a current certification
        from the American Psychological Association College of
        Professional Psychology in the treatment of alcohol
        and other psychoactive substance use disorders.

SB 613     RELATING TO TOBACCO PRODUCTS                   CPN,JDC
        Creates a statewide licensure mechanism for retail
        tobacco sales which provides for licensing retail
        tobacco vendors, inspection and enforcement,
        adjudication of fines and penalties, and training and
        education for retail merchants and public awareness of
        the State's statute governing the sale of tobacco to
        minors.  (MATSUNAGA/CHUMBLEY)

SB 859     RELATING TO PROFESSIONAL MENTAL HEALTH         CPN,WAM
        COUNSELORS AND PROFESSIONAL REHABILITATION COUNSELORS
        Enacts licensing laws for professional mental health
        counselors and professional rehabilitation counselors.

SB 1136    RELATING TO REGULATION OF OSTEOPATHY           CPN,WAM
        Terminates the Board of Osteopathic examiners and
        assigns its duties to the Board of Medical Examiners,
        adding to the medical board a new member who is an
        osteopathic physician.  (MIZUGUCHI B/R)

Persons wishing to testify should submit 40 (three-hole punched)
copies of their testimony to the committee clerk, Room 202, State
Capitol, 24 hours prior to the hearing. Testimony may also be
faxed if less than 5 pages in length, to the Senate Sergeant-At-
Arms Office at 586-6659 or 1-800-586-6659 (toll free for neighbor
islands), at least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  When faxing,
please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the
date and time of the hearing, and the required number of copies
needed for submittal.

If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids or services
to participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language
interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for
the disabled), please contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior
to the hearing so arrangements can be made.

Public Folder.  A folder labeled "Public Folder" containing the
measures and testimonies for the hearing will be available for
shared use by members of the public.
