HB 47   RELATING TO PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS                 HLT, CPC
     Provides for the licensing, rather than certification, of
     physician assistants who are nationally certified.

HB 324  RELATING TO DENTAL HYGIENISTS                    HLT, CPC
HD 1    Establishes   the   educational   requirements   for  the
     administration of local  anesthesia by dental hygienists.
     Establishes  documentation  required   for  dental  board
     certification of a hygienist to administer anesthesia.

HB 331  RELATING TO SOCIAL WORKERS                       HLT, CPC
HD 1    Changes  scope  of  social  worker  licensing  to include
     "bachelor's social worker".

HB 562  RELATING TO MEASUREMENT STANDARDS                AGR, CPC
     Provides additional  labeling  requirements for macadamia
     nuts.

HB 851  RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE REGISTRATION           TRN, CPC
     Removes the requirement  that  an  owner  of a vehicle in
     storage  present  a  certificate  of  inspection  that is
     issued after the recording of storage, if the certificate
     of inspection expired during the period of storage.

HB 1401 RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE TOWING                 TRN, CPC
HD 1    Requires towing businesses to have insurance coverage for
     towed motor vehicles during towing and storage; to have a
     $15,000 bond covering items in the towed vehicle that are
     lost, damaged,  and  stolen  items;  to properly identify
     their towing vehicles; repeals drop-dead provision of Act
     138, SLH 1998.

 
HB 642  RELATING TO THE MOTOR VEHICLE RENTAL INDUSTRY    TRN, CPC
     Amends motor vehicle rental  industry  law to allow motor
     vehicle lessors  to  receive  commissions  on an indirect
     basis for selling collision damage waivers.

HB 792  RELATING TO BAIL BONDS                                CPC
     Exempts  bail  bond  rates  from  insurance  rate  filing
     requirements.

HB 1063 RELATING TO THE CODE OF FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS        CPC
     Makes corrections  to  certain  sections  of  the Code of
     Financial  Institutions  which   were  inadvertently  not
     changed with  the  adoption  of  prior  amendments to the
     Code.

HB 1070 RELATING TO THE INSURANCE CODE                        CPC
     Amends   the   provisions   governing   examination   and
     investigations of captive insurance companies.
